I was still settling in to my apartment when I felt the need to just leave. So I did just that. I had no idea where to go, I was lost and out of my comfort zone. There is no turning back now. The decision was made and I was sticking with it. There is a park near where I now live so why not go there. The park didn't have much of a scenery. A couple trees, some plants and flowers, and a playground.
I walked to a bench and sat down like I had no hope left in me. Suddenly a breeze went by and I felt relief. I felt like someone was telling me, "It's all alright" and I needed that. The afternoon couldn't be more perfect, well actually it could. If only I had one of my friends that I could talk to.
"What a beautiful afternoon.", a man said to me as he was sitting down to my left.
"I guess I would describe it like that too.", I responded without even looking at him.
"Are you new to this area?"
"I just moved today, figured it would be a good idea to get out for a while."
"Oh sorry, my name is Jack, Jack Antonoff"
"Nice meeting you Jack," I looked him staight in the eye, "I'm Jenna, Jenna Reynolds."
"I've never met a Jenna," Jack replied with a big smile on his face.
"Same here, I've never met a Jack."
"Do you want to get a coffee sometime?"
"Sure." I answered without thinking.
"Well here is my number and I'll text you." He gave me a piece of paper torn out of his journal with his number and name in it. "Well I must go but it was a pleasure meeting you"
"Okay then, goodbye." I responded while he was getting up. Well I think I found someone to talk to while I was out on the town.
