As we got out of the car Jack started to look at me smiling. I kept wondering what he was smiling at. Did he feel the same way I felt about him? We slowly approached our table. Silence. "So what do you do for a living? Where do you work?" I asked.

"I'm in a band. You probably haven't heard of us though," he replied. Jack started to look for his phone and headphones. "Here listen to this song maybe you know it or heard of it." I took the headphones out of his hands. The music was on blast, so I could hear it as I put them on.

"Oh my god, I know this song! Wait, you're in fun.?" Jack had played Walking The Dog for me. I had heard it in a commercial and downloaded it. I never knew much about the band, just that one song.

"So you have heard of us then. Yes, I play guitar in the band."

"That's great, I really like Walking The Dog, well it's the only fun. song I've heard. I still love it though."

"Well now that you know I'm in the band are you going to listen to our songs?"

"I'll download the album and give you some feedback," I winked after replying. Was that considered as flirting? I'm embarrassing myself aren't I.

"So what do you work in?" Jack asked me after I had been thinking to myself.

"Right now I'm studying to be a chef, well more like a baker. I've always been interested in opening my own restaurant or bakery."

"That sounds wonderful. You could teach my how to cook sometime." I was in shock. Where had that come from. I'm starting to believe Jack liked me back.

"Sure, I mean as long as you're a good student."

"I wanted to ask you this earlier, but why did you move to New Jersey?"

"I really don't know. I just wanted to be on my own for a while I guess. I actually thought this was a big mistake, but that was before I met a friend."

"Oh really?"

"Yes, and I want this friendship to last forever."
