I actually didn't want this friendship to last forever. I wanted it to be more than a friendship. I mean look at this guy. Wouldn't you think he was perfect too? This night made my move to New Jersey all worth it. I hope I keep feeling like this. I was on top of the world right now. My smile was wider than ever. Nothing could bring me down. Jack had driven me home and I couldn't wait to see him again.
I sat down on my really uncomfortable couch. It wasn't in its best condition, like myself. I took out my phone and called one of my friends. I had to get these feelings off my chest.
"You do know it's midnight and I worked half of today right?" I heard my friend Abby say as she answered my call.
"My move was fine, thanks for asking," I said sarcasticly.
"I'm half asleep. What else did you want me to tell you?"
"A nice 'Hello' whould have been fine. Knowing you that wouldn't happen." Abby was one of my friends since I was in elementary school. We went through a lot of things together. Another reason why it was hard to leave home, leaving her.
"You know me so well. So why did you call? You're wasting my precious 8 hours of sleep," she responded,
"I met this guy and we went on a date tonight. I met him at the park and he's really nice. I don't know if it was a date or not, but I'm saying it was."
"Umm, and that's all?"
"No, of course not. You know that I don't have 3 sentence conversations."
"Of course not chatter box," I saw that comeback coming.
"Remember that song Walking The Dog? Well he plays guitar for that band, fun. His name is Jack and I think I'm inlove with him." I had finally gotten that out of my system.
"So you love this guy you know for a day. Reality check, Jenna its been a day. One freaking day." And that was the problem. It was all perfect except for that small detail. Abby and I continued our conversation for two hours. It had felt like more. I finally went to bed, but there was only one thing I could think about. Jack.
