Layla's P.O.V (shocker!)

I carefully slipped out the backdoor into my garden, strolling down the small stone path my old cat followed closely. "You know what to do Mr.Cuddles" the fluffy cat jumped up on the garden wall and stepped on an old stone. A slight creaking was heard as a small door opened up in the wall, making sure none of the guards saw I slipped through the door shutting it behind me. "It took you long enough" I turned smiling at my long time best friend, "hello Adam." He looks like the same young guy who switched tables with me at the old café, He kept his platinum blonde hair and skinny frame. "Ready to go old bird? I know you didn't sneak out just to say hi." Mr.Cuddles jumped down off the garden wall and rubbed on Adam's legs, "now I'm ready to go." We climbed into his little car with Mr.Cuddles and drove towards town, "so how are things going?" I smiled "Same old same, Felipe has guards around the house and sometimes Kei will stay with me for a day or two." He hummed and turned on the radio, we sang along all the way to the old café. We made it a point to sneak out every once and a while to have lunch like old times, no guards and no surveillance team just us and our food.  

Entering the café we were seated and quickly ordered our food, we weren't as old and fragile as Felipe made us feel. We were only seventy, that's not too old to go have lunch and hang out. "So what's new with you Adam?" He sipped on his water, "well the bakery is doing good, and I've noticed that Felipe's men are coming in to eat more often than normal." Our food arrived and just as I went to take a bite of my baked potato a small figure came sailing into my lap, "Grandma! I didn't know you were going to eat with us!" Adam and I looked up at each other before slowly turning to look at the towering figure who was tapping his foot. "Mom. Care to explain why your here having lunch with no security?" We were like two kids with a candy bowl, "hi sweetheart, Adam and I were just having lunch care to join us?" He sighed and sat down next to Adam, "is Mr.Cuddles with you?" A sheepish smile made its way onto my face as I opened a large shopping bag and Mr.Cuddles lazily stood out of the blankets. "Yay! Meet Sir.Waddles." Kei cheered shoving the cute little duck I got him into Mr.Cuddles face. Mr.Cuddles just meowed since I had already introduced them before I gave Kei the duckling, the little guy just climbed into the bag with Mr.Cuddles and fell asleep. "See I told you he'd like him!" Adam said smiling with self satisfaction, it was originally his idea to get the duck but I'm the one who picked it out.

"So you were in on the duck then?" Felipe's deep voice grumbled as he glared at the duck. "Frowning makes you look five years older than you are son" I gently reminded him taking a bite of my potato that had begun to cool. "Mom, I've run into a few problems so if you could please just stay with your guards that would be great." Adam snickered before taking a sip of his soup and giving me the all knowing glance. He knows I won't stay put.

~Flash Back~

"Hey Layla I'm going to the doctor you want to come with?" I stretched out on the couch my pregnant belly blocking most of my view. Our second child was on the way, Felipe was almost five so he was excited to have a new sibling. "Sure, come help me off the couch and then we can go!" Alex came strolling in and helped roll me off the couch and into a standing position, once he helped me put on some shoes we were off. "So this is just a check up right?" I was trying to get comfortable with the seatbelt strapped over my belly which was really hard, this kid is huge he's bigger than Filipe was anyway. We already knew it was a boy so we could just reuse Felipe's old baby things, Alex wanted to buy all new things for the new baby but I insisted on just using the old things. "So have you thought of any names yet?" He asked rubbing my huge baby bump. "I've come up with a few but none of them are traditional." I always liked unusual names, nothing too crazy but nothing mainstream and overused.
