(The adorable Kei ^)
Sir.Waddles P.O.V
My human was feeding me....JK Sir.Waddles is too young for our story.
Kei's P.O.V
I was finishing my cheerios and fruit when uncle Ben came in the kitchen and poured a cup of that gross black stuff daddy always drinks in the morning. I finished my juice and hopped of my chair so I could put my bowl, spoon, fork, and plate in the sink. Sir.Waddles was following me as I walked around the kitchen, I grabbed the comic papers and found my favorite ones. "What cha reading there champ?" I looked up at uncle Ben, he had a big bowl of the cereal that daddy likes and his nasty drink. "The Garfield and Peanuts comics" those are the best ones. Sir.Waddles started to peck my toes with his funny beak and tried eat them, "you already ate Sir.Waddles" I explained to him and pushed his beak away from my feet. "Hurry and go get dressed Kei, I'm taking you to one of my meetings." Daddy said picking up Sir.Waddles and carrying him to the backdoor, I guess I'll get dressed while daddy takes Sir.Waddles outside..
Felipe's P.O.V
I let the duck outside in hopes he would do his business outside instead of my head, there's a nice fence to keep him in and there aren't any other animals on the premises to hurt him. Closing the door I went back to the kitchen to collect my things before getting Kei into the car so we could leave, Kei is a great kid but he's like a girl when getting ready to go somewhere. I put my bowl and mug into the sink and splashed some water into them, the cleaning lady will take care of it but I don't want her to have a hard time scrubbing because I let the food and drink dry in the dishes. "So what time is the meeting?" Ben asked for probably the fifth time in a three hour time span, "it's in two hours so be ready to leave and don't do anything stupid while we're there." The last time Ben came with me to a meeting he started to hit on some girl who was there and she turned out to be an undercover government agent. Needless to say we had a hard time shaking them off our trail and keeping our business going on undetected, after that I put Ben on a strict 'no dating' policy for future security.
"Dude she was hot and at our meet place so I thought she was one of us!" He groaned remembering everything. "I don't care how hot she was, she was a freaking government agent! She came close to shutting us down TWICE!" Ben opened his mouth to probably make a smart comeback about me when Kei came bouncing into the kitchen with a small backpack, "I'm ready to go!" He practically sang before running to the backdoor to let in his duck whom I had forgotten about till just now. "Sir.Waddles!" Kei screamed, I was about to race over and make sure nothing was wrong when a wet duck ran past me leaving muddy footprints. A few seconds later Kei was in the kitchen chasing him with a towel. "Its a good thing there's tile in here instead of wood" I grumbled glaring at the duck as Ben picked him up and placed him in the towel Kei was holding. Note to self put up baby gate in front of back door that way muddy ducks can't get into the house, if I ever have to clean carpet from duck prints there will be hell to pay. "Alright we need to go or else I'm going to be late, Kei you can bring Sir.Waddles just bring his box that way he can sit somewhere." If that duck poops anywhere it better be in his own dang box, the last thing I need is to be in a meeting and have my son's duck poop on someone or something that doesn't belong to me.
Quickly running to his room Kei came back with the duck box and put said duck into the box, "maybe you should get him some duck diapers or something?" Ben asked getting up and heading for the garage. I followed at the back of the pack to make sure we actually all got there, there's been a few times Kei has magically disappeared right before we left and I had to spend a good deal of travel time looking for him. We all piled into my truck and were off, the meeting was to be held at a member's house from the other group. And when I say house I mean mansion, I thought my place was abnormally large this guy's 'house' put mine to shame. There must have been eight levels to the house with a heavily guarded front door, there were guards out front and a few doing patrol around the premises. Parking the truck out front our little group made its way up to the front door, my men are already here since I've made it a point to have them here a good twenty minutes before I arrive in case anything were to go bad. Handing Kei his duck he quickly skipped ahead of us even though he has no idea where he is, it must be great to be that carefree in this life we lead.
A guard directed us to the meeting room before quickly disappearing around a corner, "I have a bad feeling about this." Ben whispered as we walked down the hall, there weren't any guards and it was dead silent. Pausing midstep I called one of my men who was already here, there was a cellphone ringer that went off in the room ahead but no one answered. Pulling Kei behind me I quietly drew my weapon from my jacket, Ben had his out as well. There was nothing but dead silence in the vicinity, something was deeply wrong. There weren't any rooms close so we couldn't just run into one for cover, most of all Kei was with us so one of us would have to protect him while the other fought. There was little chance there were only a few men inside there based off the amount of guards outside, going with the best option I could think of we started to quietly and quickly back away from the room. Once we made it around the corner I could hear the doors to the room burst open and the sound of men running. Snatching up Kei and the stupid duck I ran full speed with Ben covering my back, "we've been crossed! I need men here now!" I screamed into my phone, the men on the other line scrambling to get here. The doors were in sight as bullets started to fire, busting through I made a beeline for the truck. Jumping in with Kei and his duck still in my arms I started the engine, Ben was hot on our trail as he dove in and shut the door.
Right now I was ever so grateful Ben talked me into getting bulletproof windows for the truck, punching the gas the black tires squealed as we shot out of the driveway. A few bullets pepper the truck's sides and windows but none came through, Ben had a minor shot wound to the leg but nothing major. I called a few more men and other Dons who were allies and informed them of what just happened, "well that's new...Romeo told me he was on vacation with his wife." My eye twitched at what I had just heard, according to several other Dons the men I went to go see weren't even in the same country. "Would someone like to explain how the hell I got into that house and why my son's life was put in danger then?!" I seethed gripping the steering wheel tighter, Kei was asleep somehow after all that with his duck perched on his shoulder. We had stopped for lunch and to bandage Ben's bullet wound till we got home. "Maybe it was-a set up bye someone else sì?" Geovanni the Italian boss offered. "And risk entering the home of Romeo? Non there is no possible way!" Francis the French Don scoffed. "Francis has a point, what kind of idiot would stage an attack in a Don's home?" Ben piped up.
"Well thank you gentlemen for your time, I'll look into the matter further but drop me a line if you hear anything please." I quickly ended the call as I pulled up to the mansion. Rubbing my tensed up forehead I glanced over at Ben, "looks like we stumbled into a hornet's nest." I chuckled dryly. I unbuckled Kei and picked him up, the duck just crawled onto my shoulder and settled down again. After changing Kei into his pajamas I laid him on my bed and put his duck out back to go potty before I even considered letting it sleep in the same room. Thankfully the duck went outside and did his business, I set him back in his box and took a quick shower before collapsing into bed. Shutting off the bedside lamp I slipped into sleep's grasp.
A/N: Sooooo? What do you think so far?! I'm really sorry about this story being boring but I promise it will get better. It's really hard to write a second story, I didn't really think it would be too hard but I was wrong. I've literally written this chapter four different times and trashed all of the ideas until I settled on this one, spring break didn't make writing easy either because I'd rather hang out with friends than sit cooped up at home writing. I'm cooped up everyday so might as well get out when I have the chance right? Anyways thanks for reading this stuff
