Airports are the places where you see sincere love, the hardest of goodbyes and the lovliest of hellos!
"In shaa allah we will meet in India. Take care of your health zeba. Chat when your free and don't stay confined to your room", Tahseen adviced in her motherly tone.
Tahseen talib bro and little jaffu were leaving for the airport to go back to the US.
I tried to control my eyes from tearing up but I couldn't, seeing Jaffu wave bye with his sad eyes was just too much!I said my salaams and goodbyes to Talib bro and Tahseen and hugged my the tiny cute man, my Jaffu.
Abba was going to drop them at the airport. I wanted to go but I hated airports, that feeling of your loved ones leaving you and the entire journey back from the airport departed from the earlier passengers was just too sad.
I closed the door, and went to the kitchen to drink some water when suddenly I heard the bell.
It was Jaffer! "Jaffu kya hua?" (What happened?)
He came and hugged me. His height not even reaching upto my knee.
"This for you di", he said handing me a folded paper.I unfolded it. It was a drawing made by his ameteur yet creative and tiny hands, it had a girl with a frock and hijab holding hands with a small boy wearing superman shirt. And in the side of the girl it was written ZeBA Di surrounded by a big red heart and under the boys leg was his name written jaffer. It was incredibly cute where he tried to colour inside the lines as much as possible.
I looked down at him. He was standing there proud of his drawing and yet smiling shyly.
I bent down and kissed him on his cheek, "it's beautiful jaffu!!!" Without me knowing a tear trickled down my cheek. He said, " assalamualaikum didi " and retreated back to the car.I kept looking at that masterpiece made by jaffar and all the fun we had kept flashing in my mind. I felt lonliness setting again and I knew that the only solution now was to pray.
No matter happens, when you seek Allah's company the satisfaction of reaching out to your creater makes you strong enough to move on with life.
