Okay, wow, what is it with me and violent modern shorts!?

Robin was walking towards school, his messenger bag with him and his notebook in his hand. It was around spring at the time, the cherry blossoms were blooming, their colors vibrant and beautiful. Robin chuckled to himself as he remembered the time that he and his best friend, Lucina, were in the gardens behind her house and they were playing with the cherry blossoms that fell from the tree that was in her backyard area. While they were talking, a cherry blossom landed on, Lucina's nose, and made her sneeze. And of course that made the cherry blossom fall off. He ended up laughing his head off while, Lucina hid her blushing face behind her hands. Robin took a deep breath, wrapping his arms around himself as if he were embracing the sweet spring aroma. Until a voice made him turn red like a cherry with whipped cream on top. "Hey, Mr. 'I feel like I'm in a movie so I can be dramatic'." Robin's head whipped around to see his, Midnight blue haired friend, Lucina riding on a blue bike. He quickly put his arms to his sides and looked away red-faced as, Lucina chuckled. "What? Got a problem, Cherry blossom nose?" Robin said, his blush slightly fading into a smirk. Lucina glared at him while her cheeks turned light pink. Lucina rolled her eyes. "Alright, alright.. You got me." Lucina said, letting go of the handles and putting her hands up. "Ooh~ no hands, huh little miss fancy?" Robin said. Lucina let out a small smile and put her hands back onto the handles. "Huh...? That's unusual." Robin thought. She usually kept her hands off for awhile. "Hey.. Uh.. I'll meet you there.. Okay?" Lucina said, slightly faking a smile. ".... Okay." Robin said, confused by her sudden look of being uncomfortable. "Uh.. Bye." Lucina said as the crossroad light next to her turned red, indicating she could ride to the other side. Robin still did think that her behavior was odd but he shook it off and slowly turned his gaze away from her, until...

Crash!

Lucina felt odd as she walked next to her white-haired friend. "Hey.. Uh.. I'll meet you there.. Okay?" She said, faking a smile and hoping he'd believe it. Robin looked at her for a minute, until he finally answered. ".... Okay." He seemed a bit confused by her, but, Lucina tried to ignore the emotion of curiosity and worry plastered onto the boy's face. "Uh.. Bye." Lucina said as she spotted the crossroad next to her turn red, indicating she could ride to the other side. She peddled as fast as she could so the timer wouldn't run out on the stoplight, but not before a car could crash into her bike, making her fly off and slide halfway across the street. As she tumbled over, she was scraped by the harsh rocks in the road piercing her skin. Her knees, arms, face, and stomach were covered now In blood as she laid on the road. The last thing she girl heard was her name being called before she blacked out, whispering his name. "Ro..bin..."

"LUCINA!" Robin yelled as he ran over to her blood-covered body. Robin knelt down beside her and wrapped his arms around her torso. He was worried before, but now he was enraged. "What did I just do..." The person who hit her said, walking out of their car. "... What did you just do..?" Robin turned around, his face covered in tears. "YOU MIGHT HAVE JUST KILLED MY BEST FRIEND AND YOU ASK, 'WHAT DID YOU JUST DO'!?" Robin said. "S-sir I-" Robin cut the man off. "I LOVE HER! I LOVE HER AND SHE MIGHT DIE!" Robin said, tears freely falling down his face. He turned back to, Lucina and cradled her unconscious body in his arms, crying his eyes out. Bystanders called 911 and before the white haired boy knew it, she was taken out of his arms, and he was watching his friend being driven away in the back of an ambulance. "Lucina..." "ROBIN!?" He knew that voice. That was the voice of his other best friend... And, Lucina's father. Chrom. Chrom ran up to his friend, but was stopped in his tracks when he saw that, Robin was surrounded in blood. "What the...!? Robin, what happened?!" He asked. Robin could only stare at the red covered pavement. "Lucina..." He managed to squeak out. "What?!" "... Lucina..." "WHAT!? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?!" Chrom yelled, grabbing his friend by his shoulders. Robin's hair covered his watery eyes while he didn't dare look at, Chrom. He let go of his shoulders and looked at the road that the ambulance with his daughter took, as Robin did the same, wondering; "did I just witness the ending of my best friend...?"

"Miss Lowell's family?" (?) Robin's eyes immediately widened as he looked up, not caring that his cheeks were stained with tears as the nursed eyed the boy, a look of pity on her face. The tag on her clothes read: "Shirley", meaning that was her name. She had short blonde hair with dark blue eyes, and looked to be in her 50's or 60's. But it just added to the adorableness of the old woman. "She is in stable condition. She took major road rash to her limbs, so she might not be able to walk for a while. She's asleep right now." The two let out a sigh of relief. "M-may we go s-see Her...?" Robin asked, his voice small and shaky. She smiled at him and nodded, as they stood up and followed her to, Lucina. Robin never liked hospitals. And he knew, Lucina was the same. What did they not like about it? Everything. Just the feeling of a hospital made them cringe, and by feeling, I mean the vibe you get from the building. It's all white, and polished. Yet, there are too many sad cases, and too many needles. "Needles..." Robin shivered at the thought of a needle. Just knowing that it's inside your body, freaks him out. "I'm not the only one afraid of needles... She must be hooked up to one.." He thought. They finally got to the room as, Shirley(the nurse) opened the door for them. "Arigatou.." Robin said, trying not to cry in front of the nurse. Her expression saddened. "Now, come on. I've seen a big boy cry before, I won't judge you." Her voice just added on to the cuteness. "... I-I'm sorry..." Robin said, a few tears finally shedding. The elderly nurse wrapped her arms around him as, Robin cried lightly into her shoulder. "Good boy, let it all out." Little did he know, a blue haired teen was following them
