I'm confused at the realisation that Tyler is a Caster. He's extremely good at hiding it. After the workshop, I follow Tyler to the cafeteria. I stand behind him in the queue and I prod him in the back. "Oi, you cheeky little motherf-" his speech is cut off when he realises it's me. Then he shoves a paper into my pocket, and leaves the queue. I'm not hungry so I go to find Laura at our usual table. When I get there, I unfold the note and we read it together. It reads, I know what you are, Rae. Come and find me when you're done eating. I'll be at the pitch.
"How the frick frack does he know?" Laura quizzes. I shrug my shoulders and we head off to the pitch.

Tyler sees us as soon as we get there, and he grabs both our wrists, and drags us behind the stairs, where no one goes. Tyler looks uncomfortable.
"Rae. Why are your eyes like that?" He asks. I shrug my shoulders and begin to stroll away. He grabs my shoulder, and his green eyes lock with mine. "Rae, I'm not stupid. You know I know." I sigh and a tear rolls down my cheek. Tyler cups my jaw in his palm and uses his thumb to wipe away the tears. He sighs. "Rae, look. I don't know what you're going through, but whatever it is I'll help you. I know we don't really talk, and you may feel awkward. But we're both casters so I guess we're gonna have to get used to each other." I nod, and he nods. Laura coughs, "someone's coming." Laura and I head off, and Tyler just stays there.

It's the end of lunch, and I just zone out for the rest of the day. I can't wait to get home. I can't wait to get to my bed and sleep, and maybe it will turn out that this is all a dream. But I can't go home straight away- my family will notice.

It's also nice to know that there are other casters in my surrounding. It's nice to know that Tyler can help me through this- whatever it is- and can support me. It's nice to know I won't be alone in this.
Tyler will be there for me.
