~Piper~
Today is the first day of school and I'm already dreading it. I looked at the time and it read 7:00am. I crawled out of bed and into the bathroom to take a shower.
When I was done, I put on a pair of black leggings, a white crop top and my black converse. I then made my way downstairs to get breakfast before leaving the house, locking the door behind me. I hopped on to my motorcycle and took off, heading towards my school.
When I got there, I looked around. I found my friend, Victoria leaning against her car door. She pushed off the car and started heading towards me when she heard my bike pull into the school parking lot.
I got off my bike and lent against the side of it, waiting for Victoria to come over.
"Hey Vi, had a good summer holidays?" I asked after giving her a hug in greeting.
"It was great! Hawaii was so much fun! I loved it there!" She said excitedly. She started talking all about her time at Hawaii and before I knew it, the bell rang signalling first period was about to start.
"Hey Vi, I got to go but we'll talk more at lunch" I said as I started to head towards my classroom. I got a letter sent from the school last week, with a list of all the things I will need, a schedule to tell me which class I'm in and a welcome back letter.
I made it to my class not even a minute before the late bell rang and I looked around to see nobody I knew. With a sigh, I made my way to the back of the class and sat down.
Just then this new kid walked in and I looked up to see him in a pair of jeans, tight black t-shirt that showed all his muscles and a pair of sunglasses on.
He came towards me and I tried my best to ignore him and not stare at his abs. He came up to the desk I was sitting at and stood in front of it so that he was blocking my view from the rest of the class.
"Your in my seat" he said with his arms crossed.
"I don't see your name on it anywhere" I said looking up and raising an eyebrow at him.
He opened his mouth to reply, an angry look on his face, when the teacher walked in, two minutes late.
"Sorry I'm late, class. Mr. Miller, I suggest you hurry up and take a seat, unless you want detention on you first day here" the teacher said, frowning.
I gave him a triumphant smile as he sat down in the seat beside me. My smile quickly faded as he sat down. I did not want him to be sitting beside me for the rest of the year.
I looked around the classroom trying to find another seat he could sit down at, only to find a couple of seats in the front row and I refuse to sit at the front and I guess he does too, because he didn't move either.
I sighed in relief when the bell rang signalling the end of first period. That class was probably the most boring and longest class in my life.
All we talked about was the rules of the school, some activities, dress codes and whatever else they talk about at the first day of school.
My second class wasn't that bad. We talked a bit about the rules again and then the english teacher, Mr. Avers decided to make us write a 12,00 word paper about ourselves.
When the bell rang signalling the end of second period, I grinned. It was lunch time and I couldn't wait to see Victoria. She's my only friend at this school, since the popular girl in school, Mandy humiliated me in front of the whole school last year.
I went to my locker to put my stuff away and saw that she was there waiting for me. I did the combination and opened my locker. I putting my stuff in my locker and grabbed an apple before closing it with a bang.
"Where do you want to sit today?" I asked with a smile, taking a bite out of my apple.
"How about the roof" Vi said with a smile.
I nodded and we went down the hall and took a left, into a deserted hallway. We headed towards a door that looked identical to the janitors closet. It was right beside the janitors closet, so nobody went in there.
I wouldn't have found it if it weren't for the fact that the whole cheerleading squad was chasing me when I put a stink bomb in the change room while they were practicing after school. They chased me down this hall and I quickly opened the door and went inside and found out it was a staircase and not a janitor closet. I climbed the stairs and saw that it lead to the roof and since then I was always coming up here.
We walked down the hallways and made sure that nobody was around before opening the door to the 'janitors closet' and closed it shut when Vi walked through.
The roof is the only place I could come to be alone. Nobody knew about the stairs leading to the roof, even most of the staff didn't know.
I went behind the stairs and grabbed the two small lawn chairs we stored there so we could sit down and not get our school clothes full of dust and dirt.
The roof has an amazing view. We could watch everything that's happening and be the first to know about any new drama.
The only thing that sucks up here, is that the bell is extra loud up here. I went up the stairs after passing Vi her chair and we put down our chairs and watched the students laughing, talking and playing games.
I finished my apple and threw it off the roof and into the garbage can a couple of feet away from the edge of the roof.
It went in and scared a grade 7 girl who screamed and ran away, probably to tell her friends or something.
I sat back in my chair and me and Vi were talking for the rest of the time until the bell rang, cutting her off. We both cringed and quickly covered our ears.
Once the bell finally shut up, we grabbed our chairs, folded them back up and went down the stairs, storing them in their hiding place. We slowly opened the door to the 'janitor closet' and looked both ways down the hall before opening the door wider to pass through, Vi behind me.
We then went our separate ways, towards our lockers to get ready for our next class.
I can't wait for this day to end.
