Chapter 2

The bell to last period rang and everybody quickly stood up and left the class room as quickly as possible, me one of them.

Turns out, that new guy is in almost every single one of my classes. The only ones he isn't in is second and fourth. I can't decide if it sucks or not. He does look good and he gave up arguing about the seats after getting threatened detention for three of the classes we take together.

I went to my locker and started putting my stuff in my locker and my homework in my bag and shut my locker door.

Vi had to go home early since she has a dentist appointment today and I was stuck going home by myself. I grabbed my bag, put it on my back and started walking towards the front of the school.

I was walking down the hall, not watching where I was walking and I slammed into someone and almost falling over before the person I bumped in to caught me.

"Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going" I said, nervous and scared.

Even though everyone hated me and were mean to me, I knew that if I was mean to them, they would be even more mean to me.

"It's ok, it was an accident" a familiar voice said, letting me go.

I looked up to find the new guy, smirking at me and silently breathed a breath of relief.

"What's your name?" I asked, getting annoyed of always calling him 'the new guy'.

"Ace. Yours?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Piper" I said quietly.

"What? I didn't hear what you said" he said.

I opened my mouth to respond but I was interrupted by my an annoying voice.

"Don't even bother wasting your time on her, she's just an annoying slut who steals people's boyfriends and make their life a living hell" Amanda said walking up to us with her group of 'friends'. I rolled my eyes. She could be so dramatic sometimes.

"What do you want Amanda? I asked in a bored voice.

"I wasn't talking to you, was I bitch?" She asked annoyed.

I just rolled my eyes and turned back towards Ace. I didn't even have time to open my mouth before he turned towards Amanda. Oh no.

"First of all, don't call her a bitch because I am pretty sure you're the bitch here and second of all we were having a conversation before you and your so called friends interrupted us" he said, narrowing his eyes at her.

"Listen 'new guy' I am the most popular girl in school here and if you want to be popular too, then the first two steps are don't get on my bad side and stay away from that bag of trash"she said pointing her finger at me. She then turned around and marched off with her group of followers right at her heals.

I sighed and shook my head. I turned around to start heading the other, but longer way to the front of the school when Ace called me back.

"Hey wait" he said coming up beside me.

"What?" I said in a rudely. I hate Amanda! Why does she always have to ruin my life!

"Chill, I only wanted to ask you a question" he said raising his hands in a I surrender gesture. I nodded, signalling for him to continue.
