When the bus driver didn't pay attention, I got on the vehicle to try to find Eric. I spotted him all the way in the back of the bus. I walked over to him. He was asleep. A lot of snot was running from his nose. He had some paper in his bag. I used it to dry it away. He was really pale. More pale than usual. Usually, he looked so strong and confident, but now he looked so weak. So helpless.

"Eric?" I tried to wake him up. I shook his arm. He slowly opened his eyes. He hugged me as soon as he noticed me. Eric got his phone and typed: I lost my voice >:(

"Oh, but that's okay, just use your phone." I smiled. "Now we gotta get off this bus."

He packed everything in his bag. I picked it up with me right arm and held Eric's arm with the other.

"You sure packed a lot of things! This thing is really heavy!" I had to take breaks and switch arms often. Eric tried to clear his throat.

"I can take it." His voice became even more dark than before. He coughed for a long time after he spoke.

"No, I can carry it." I told him and grabbed his hand again. "You have to focus on getting better!"

I told him that we could go to my house, since my parents weren't home. He nodded.

When we finally got there, I unlocked the door and carried the bag upstairs. He followed me. I told him to lay down in my bed. I pulled the covers over him.

"You comfortable?"

He nodded and closed his eyes.

"Do you want anything?"

He shook his head.

"I can get you anything that you want!"

He pointed at me and then at the empty space next to him in my bed.

"Okay." I said and climbed over him. He rolled over to face me. He placed his hand in my hair and started playing with it. It sounded like he was struggling with breathing.

"Maybe you should visit the doctor? To get some medicine or something? You got sick really quickly." I suggested.

"No." He quickly answered and started coughing really bad again.

"Are you sure?"

He nodded. After a while, I started getting hungry.

"I'm going downstairs to get some food. Tell me if you want something, okay?" I said and got out of the bed.

I got to the kitchen and looked around for something to cook. We had all the ingredients for tomato soup, so I decided to make that. While it was cooking, I got upstairs to check on Eric.

"You sure you don't want anything? You have to drink or eat something." I got a little worried for him. "I'm making tomato soup."

"Fine." I heard him say quietly.

"I'll come with it when it's done." I smiled and walked downstairs again.

When it finished, I brought the bowls upstairs. Eric slowly sat up.

"You should stay away from me. I don't want you to be sick." His voice was a little better than earlier.

"It's worth it if it helps you get better." I said and handed him over a bowl and a spoon. "Have you eaten anything today?"

"No. " He sighed. "Didn't really want anything."

I finished before him. He are really slowly. "You like it?" I asked him.
