Birds rarely appear in the night sky
But can you imagine how beautiful their silhouettes would be?

A woman plagued with labour pains watched the sky from her five inch window. The window was unusually barred and her room was incredibly small and barred as well. She watched through the bars for one of the guards to walk by so that she could signal one of them, but it was a ghost town.

And as her pains grew larger and her screams grew louder, two young officers ran to her cell.

"Do you think it's time to take her?" The one officer asked the other.

"I don't know, I'm not a doctor," He replied sarcastically.

"We're only allowed to take her to the doctor once she's fully dilated," She one officer stated.

"Inmate, do you feel like you're fully dilated?" The officer asked the woman.

"Well I feel like I'm about to drop this fucking baby on this fucking floor! So you decide if I'm fully dilated or not," She replied.

"Thats it, lets take her," The officer yelled and opened the cell door.

Once of the officers picked the woman up and craddled her in his arms as the other one followed behind. The woman lied breathless in his arms filled with a torturous look on her face.

They loaded her into a van and drove her to the nearest hospital.

At the hospital the same guard who carried her before picked her up once more and walked into the emergency room he handcuffed her hands to the hospital bed.

"Is this really necessary?" The doctor asked concerned.

"She is a criminal and should be treated like one," The officer replied.

The doctor felt compelled to argue against the officer but the womans screaming overshadowed his need to argue.

After a hour of screaming and pushing, out came a baby girl. As healthy as fiddle.

The doctor swaddled the baby in a cream blanket and proceeded towards the mother.

"Just take it away," The woman demanded.

The doctor seemed confused.

"Do you not want to see your little girl?" The doctor asked.

"No," She replied.

At that moment three guards brought in another prisoner into the delivery room. It was a man, tall and well built.

"Is this my little girl?" He asked.

"It sure is," The doctor replied and handed the baby to him.

The man walked to the woman whilst holding the baby.

"We made this, you and I," The man spoke to the woman.

The woman looked at the babies face and a tear fell from her eye.

"Okay, get rid of it now," She demanded once more.

"Honey, this is our daughter," The man argued.

"Yes and you know what has to be done," The woman replied.

The man stood up and gave the baby back to the doctor.

"The media cannot find out about her, she needs to be disposed of as discretely as possible," The man spoke to the doctor.

"Disposed of?" The doctor asked shakily.

"Yes, find her a home, leave her at the fire station or at an orphanage, I don't care. Just as long as no one knows she exists," The man explained.
