*3 Months Later*
Minutes soon turned to hours, hours soom turned to days, days soon turned to weeks and finally those weeks soon turned to months. Olivia thought about Messer less and less everyday, but that doesn't mean she don't think about him.
It was hard letting go. If he truly carwd about her he would of found a way to give her right? Wrong. It's because he cared about her that much he couldn't handle the lies and deception. Every morning Olivia arises from the little sleep she had only to immediately check her phone, hoping there'd be something from him, anything... but there never was. She contemplated showing up at his door, but Wolf would've probably killed her if he ever saw her again.
What could she do, except throw herself into work? She slowly morphed back into the Olivia she was six months ago. The calm, rule following Olivia. Yet she felt as if this persona was draining her soul. She hadn't even been behind the wheel of a car in three months. Miles did all the driving once again.
Olivia had been working on a human trafficking case recently. There were rumours that people in an infamous gang called "Draco," had been trafficking woman into the United States, and putting them to work as drug mules, drug dealers and prostitutes. There hadn't been much leads so far, but the bureau wants to send someone in undercover.
"Hey sweety," Miles announced as he walked towards her and planted a kiss on her cheek.
"Not here, remember" Olivia scolded.
Did I fail to mention that Miles and Olivia were now dating? It wasn't that serious to Olivia, but it was very serious to Miles. He fell for her, hard. This is exactly what Olivia has always wanted but why does she feel so jaded? Is it because she'd fallen out of love? Or was her attraction purely just infatuation? Either way there was no way she could get out of this, he has been the most patient and understanding person towards her these passed few months. He took care of her when she got shot, he was there, just always there, and she appreciate it more than he will ever know. It just sucked that her feelings didn't match his, and believe me she tried. Tried as hard as she could to fall for him once again but failed. Unfortunately she left her heart in East Los.
Miles and Olivia stood at her desk when she noticed a bunch of FBI agents marching in with their uniforms on and weapons geared up and ready for battle.
"Whats going on?" She asked confused.
"We've decided to storm Wolf's warehouse at midnight tonight," Miles revealed as he strapped on a bulletproof vest.
"Why? What did you find?" She asked frantically.
"Olivia, you know I can't discuss this case with you," Miles threw a stern stare at her.
"Yes, Ofcause I'm sorry," Olivia backed away slightly.
He reached into her hair to put his hand around her neck.
"Don't stress about this, okay? Just go home and get some rest, have some dinner, I'll be home as soon as it's done," He gently pulled his hand away and she smiled in agreement.
Olivia turned around and fiddled with her hands nervously.
"Shit."
"What do I do?"
"What do you mean, what do you do? You do nothing!"
"How could I not do anything?"
"Because it is your job to do the right thing..."
It was her job. This job is a cancer, and the longer she waited, the longer she did absolutely nothing about it, it's bound to get worst.
