That you type
Without a care in the world
Whilst sitting behind your computer screen
Tear me apart
And make me feel worthless.
I know I'm a freak
And that nobody likes me
But you don't have to rub it in my face
And remind me that I was rejected
By the boy I cared about the most.

And that I barely have any friends
But the things you say really do hurt
And although you'll probably forget every word you said
They remain in my mind
For days, and weeks, and months.
One day,
The words that you say
As a joke or a laugh
Will tear me apart so much
That I will no longer be there to hear them.
Because words hurt,
More than any physical pain can
And sometimes
They can destroy a person
And maybe your hateful words
Will eventually destroy me.
So be careful what you say
Because words have the power
To break someone
But they also have the ability
To make things better
If you use them in the right way.
