The Divorce and the Big Secret *Liam Imagine* *For Megan*

Megan! I can’t deal with you yelling at me anymore! Everytime we talk, we fight, and yell. It’s been like this for a year now! I can’t take it anymore!” Liam shouted at you from across the living room. “If that’s what you want, then that’s what you’ll get.” You said storming out of the room and upstairs to your shared bedroom. As soon as you got up to your room you grabbed your phone then started to call around.

First you called your mom because she had gone through this before. “Mom… I’m scared.” You said into the phone. “Megan? What’s wrong?” She asked sounding worried. “Liam and I have been fighting a lot more then usual. It makes me wonder if he’s thinking of getting a divorce… And It scares me that he will.” You said crying now. You really did love Liam with all your heart, but this past year has just been horrible. You both pretty much slept with one eye open at night in case the other one went for the other one.

“Oh Megan… It does get better. If you do Divorce then you can always just find someone else and love them as much as you love Liam now.” Your mom said into the phone. “But I don’t want to! I need Liam but I’ll crash if I don’t have him.” “Sweetheart, I’ll help you get through it. I promise.” Your mom said sounding like she was smiling. “Thanks Mom. I’ll call you later if anything changes.” You said wiping some tears away then hanging up.

*2 Months later*

Liam was back on tour and you were home alone again. You walked down to the mailbox that sat at the end of the driveway in your pyjamas to get the mail just like every other morning. You got the mail then walked back up to the house and started to go through it. There were a few bills in there and then a envelope with your name written on it. You quickly opened it and saw that it was a bunch of papers, and a note which read:

Dear Megan,

I’m sorry that I didn’t do this in person but it’s just too hard. I hope you trust my choice and do what’s right. I hope in the future we do meet again. But for now, I hope you do meet someone that loves you for you and doesn’t argue with you every second you two spend together.

Was what it read. You went through the papers and saw that they were divorce papers. You couldn’t believe it. The day had finally come. You knew it would but you didn’t think it would come so soon.

*4 Years Later*

“Adam! Be careful!“ You called out to your now 3 year old son. You were now a single Mother with Liam now completely out of your life.

A week later you did take a pregnancy test and found out you were pregnant. Whenever you and Liam did it, you would always check the week after but it had slipped your mind with all the fighting going on between Liam and you on the phone that you would spend most of your nights just crying in bed after you got off the phone with him.

You watched as your son ran off chasing the other kids at the park. “Megan? Is that you?” You heard behind you. You turned around startled. And there was Liam standing there. “Liam.. It’s good to see you.” You said before standing up and looking at him. “Wow… It’s really great to see you. What are you doing at the park?” He asked before motioning for you to sit back down and him sitting beside you.

“Um, I just brought my son to the park.” You said looking off to where Adam was running around. “Is he the one with the red coat on?” Liam asked. “Yeah.” You nodded before he ran back over to where you sat. “What are you doing here?” You asked turning back to Liam. “Um, I’m here with my girlfriend. We just took a walk in the park before she had work to get to.” “Who are you dating?” You asked. “Danielle. She was lost and I was walking by so I helped her and after that, we just got talking.” Liam said looking down at the ground.

“That’s great… I’ll have to meet her one day.” You nodded before turning back to Adam who was finally standing beside you. “Mommy!” He called out before almost falling on his face but you caught him just in time. You picked him up and sat him down on your knee. “Hi. I’m Liam.” Liam said going into Baby mode. “Hi!” Adam said giggling. “Wow, He’s got your eyes.” Liam said looking up at you. “Yeah, That’s what everyone says.” “So, Who’s the dad?” He asked out of the blue. “Adam, Will you go back and play with your friends?” You said putting him back on the ground and watching him run off.

“Um… He’s actually yours…” You said looking down at the ground. “Excuse me? That can’t be!” Liam said standing up off the park bench. “But it’s true! I’m sorry I never told you about him. It was just after you sent me the divorce papers that I found out myself.” You said standing up as well. “No, No… That can’t be!” “Liam, I haven’t dated anyone since the divorce… I only ever did have sex with you! No one else! He is yours.” “I won’t believe it until that kid gets tested… And Don’t you dare ever talk to my girlfriend… Don’t even try to find her.” Liam said before walking off and leaving you standing there as you just watched him walk off.
