The Last Goodbye's with Zayn *Imagine*

"Honey, Do you have to go so soon? You just got back home not even 3 days ago!" You exclaimed to your husband Zayn who was standing across from you with the bed between you two. "I Wish I didn't have to go. But it's what I have to do. I'm sorry sweetheart." Zayn said pulling the duffle bag off his shoulder and placing it on the bed before you two.

"What about the kids Zayn... You Said last time that you wouldn't leave again. Once you were home you were staying home." You say looking Zayn in the eyes as tears went down your face. "(Y/N), I know what I said, and you don't know how much it pains me to say goodbye. But you always know I'll come back home. No matter what happens, You know I'll come back everytime I go away." Zayn said walking around the large bed and pulling you into his chest. You couldn't help but let a sob ecapse from your lips.

You loved your husband Zayn and was scared that one day we wouldn't be here for the Kids.. Even for you. You Husband Zayn was in the army and had just been told he was going to be stationed in Peru for 8 months. He had just come home 3 days ago and surprised you and the kids, Hunter who was 4, and Abbey who was only 1 and a half.

"I Love you (Y/N)... Please never forget that. I will always come back for you and the kids." Zayn said kissing your forehead. "I love you too Zayn." You whispered looking up at him then pecking his lips before pulling away from him.

"Come help me pack." Zayn said putting his hand out for you, waiting for you to take it. "Zayn, You know that I'm just going to unpack for you. But then your just going to repack." You said turning away from him. "I know, And I love that you try so hard but we both know it's going to come. Now, come help... Please." Zayn said putting his hand on your shoulder. You turned back towards him then agreed to help him pack.

　

"Hunter, Please stop screaming." You whispered to the 4 year old who was crying in front of you. "I Want Daddy!" Hunter yelled then started to cry more. "Daddy will be up soon. I promise as soon as daddy gets up you can see him." You said crouching in front of him and looking him in the eyes.

"NO! I. Want. Daddy. NOW!" Hunter screamed before running off to somewhere in the house. You sighed then stood up and walked after him to see him starting to climb the stairs. You could never win with Hunter. If he didn't get his way he would scream until it went his way. "DADDY!" Hunter yelled still climbing up the stairs. "Hunter, Daddy's sleeping." You told him as you stood at the bottom of the stairs.

"I Don't care! I Want Daddy!" Hunter said as soon as he got to the top of the stairs. Hunter ran off upstairs most likely towards your bedroom where Zayn was still fast asleep.

You took the stairs two at a time hoping to catch up to him. "Hey Hunter." You heard your Husband's morning voice coming from the bedroom. You quietly made your way to where the door was opened a crack so you could peek in. Zayn was sat up in bed with his hair going everywhere and in an white t-shirt. Zayn leaned over the bed and quickly scooped Hunter up into his arms and sat him down beside where Zayn sat in bed.

"Hi Daddy." Hunter said quietly, but loud enough for you to hear, and with sadness in his voice and it broke your heart. You never liked seeing your kids sad or crying. "What's wrong Hunt?" Zayn asked. "Are you leaing again Daddy?" Hunter asked as tears now covered his cheeks. Zayn didn't say anything, he just nodded.

"Why Daddy Why?" Hunter asked as one of his hands reached up and wiped away some tears from his face. "Because I need to go back out there and protect everyone again." Zayn said. "Why can't you stay here and protect them?" "If I could, I would. I'm sorry Hunter..." Zayn said as his own tears started.

"I want to be just like you when I'm older daddy." Hunter said looking up at his father in Awe. Zayn and you had always told Hunter that his father was a secret super hero and he always said that he wanted to be just like his dad and it always made you smile.

You looked down at your watch and saw the time. You didn't want to interupt their moment but you had to. It was time to say goodbye. You Quietly knocked on the door before opening it and stepping inside. Both boys looked at you and you gave them a sad smile. "It's time." You said taking another step towards them. Zayn nodded then told Hunter he needed to go and let him get ready.

　

"Daddy please don't do!" Hunter cried putting his tiny arms around Zayn's neck and crying into his shoulder. "I'm sorry." Zayn said then pulled away then wiping some tears from Hunter's face. Hunter took a step back so he was standing beside you then Zayn stood up and looked down at your daughter who was in your arms. He stepped closer then kissed Abbey on the forehead then looked up at you. He didn't say anything but pulled you to his chest and gave you a hug tat you wish could last forever.

But as soon as it started, it stopped. "I've got to go now." Zayn said giving you all another kiss then turning and walking over to where everyone else was standing. You tried to smile for your husband ad told yourself that he was going to cme home, you tried your best but you still cried your heart out. "Mommy, I Miss daddy." Hunter said pulling on your hand already. You bent down so you were his height then said "So Do I."

You looked around at everyone around you and say the same expression on their faces. Their loved ones were leaving again, and you not knowing if they would make it home but still praying they'd be safe and make it home.

You focused back on your husband who wans't paying attention to what their troop leader was talking about but was looking at you with sadness in his eyes.

As they started to leave you were too focused on Zayn as he walked off to the plane that was waiting for them. You didn't even notice that Hunter had left your side and had ran to where his dad was in the line-up. You quickly ran after him but then you were stopped by the police who wasn't letting anyone else closer.

"That is my Child out there!" You yelled over the noise and pointed behind the officer at here Hunter was still running as fast as he could after Zayn. "DADDY!" Hunter yelled and Zayn looked behind him and saw Hunter running and quickly dropped his duffle bag before bending down and giving his son one last hug. "Go get your child and make it quick." The office snapped at you before letting you pass.

"I'm So sorry Buddy, But I Have to go. Keep mommy safe for me." Zayn said as you got over to where they were. "No, You need to stay with us." Hunter cried harder. "If I give you something, then will you keep her safe?" Zayn asked pulling away a little then looked at Hunter with tears threatening to leave. Hunter just nodded.

Zayn reached around his neck and pulled off his tags and hung them on Hunters neck. "I Love you daddy." Hunter said one last time before he walked to you and took your hand. "I love you too... Abbey, (Y/N), and you too Buddy." Was the last words from Zayn before he turned and ran over to where the rest of the troops were getting on the plane.
