Fat Amy PoV
I'm really concerned for Beca at the moment. She's a nervous wreck as it is and she can never look anyone in the eye for more then a second and here comes Chloe, touching her, confusing her, getting in her personal space. Me and Beca have been friends for years and she goes stiff if I sling my arm around her shoulders. She's really not a touchy feely person, and I'm okay with that but I don't think Chloe is or she just doesn't care. I feel like I should help her but she's as confused with her feelings as I am and she's feeling them! I sigh as I grab my coffee. She also liked the kiss? I mean, how confused can you get? Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if she actually liked Chloe, she's had stranger tastes. I make my way over to Beca's classroom, she should be out soon. I look around and luckily Chloe isn't there. Beca's having a rough time with her dad and I'm sure Chloe isn't helping. I look up as Beca slinks out of the classroom. She looks around and spots me, walking over.
"How'd it go?" I ask as we walk towards her car. She just groans in frustration.
"He doesn't listen! 'Do this Beca, be better Beca. Do what I want you to do Beca.'" Beca says, deepening her voice. She rubs her at her eyes and groans. I snort at her bad impression.
"Well, you don't have to see him again for another week. That's a plus, right?" I ask, trying to cheer her up. Beca just shrugs.
"I guess." She mumbles and kicks the ground. Something red catches my eye and I quickly pull Beca behind a group of bubbly girls. She gives me a confused look but doesn't say anything.
"Are we going to your dorm?" I ask as we continue walking once I assume it's safe.
"Yeah, I need to get lost in my mixes for a while." Beca unlocks her car and slides in. I walk around to the other side and slump down.
"I have an essay." I say glumly and Beca starts driving. We both settle into a comfortable silence. I start to think about her and Chloe. What kind of couple they would make. I think it'd be awkward at first but then Beca would warm up to her. She always did. Well, maybe it wouldn't be awkward. Chloe didn't seem to mind that Beca wasn't a touchy feely person so maybe she wouldn't if they ever went out and maybe Beca would become more comfortable with human contact. I snort. Like that's ever going to happen. As we get out of the car, Beca narrows her eyes.
"Who is it?" She asks after a moment. I groan. Of course Beca wouldn't miss it.
"How'd you know?" I ask and Beca shrugs.
"You were doing that thing." She answers. I roll my eyes. I've been trying to get her to tell me for years.
"His name's Bumper." I purposely thicken my Australian accent. "But I don't think he's ready for this kangaroo." I say, making a hooping action. Beca snorts.
"You have to be the weirdest person I know." Beca says, still smiling.
"The weirdest Australian, thank you very much." I disagree. We start walking up the steps. "There is no way I am weirder than Jeremy."
"No one's weirder than Jer-" Beca suddenly stops and tenses. I look up and there, in her red haired glory, is Chloe Baele. I narrow my eyes at her suspiciously then turn my attention to Beca. There's a pink tinge to her cheeks. I grumble under my breath and keep walking, dragging Beca with me.
"Hia Chloe." I say casually as Beca fumbles for her keys, her cheeks burning.
"Hi." She says with a smirk, her gaze never leaving Beca.
"Watcha' doin' here?" I ask. She shrugs.
"I had nothing better to do." She answers and I snort in disbelief but she ignores me. Beca finally opens the door and shuffles through. We both follow her through. Beca takes a seat in her chair and I immediately sit on the bed, taking up the end nearest Beca. We both look at Chloe. Beca looks at her with a questioning look while mine is suspicious.
"Is there something you need?" I ask, trying not to let the ice enter my voice. God, I just want one moment alone with Beca! Chloe smirks at me, then turns to Beca.
"I was just wondering if Beca wanted to come to dinner with me tonight? It seems like her dad was causing her some stress and I thought a quiet dinner might help." Chloe says. A dinner with you won't help her relax at all, I think to myself. Beca looks at Chloe, surprised. I guess I was slightly surprised too. Chloe usually just grabbed or commanded.
"I-uh-yeah sure..I guess.." Beca stumbles out. I slowly frown at her. This is basically a date, right? She realises this, right? I look at Beca's face. Oh god...she has no clue. Chloe's face lights up, actually lights up. Normally she just smirks and struts out, like she new the answer before she asked.
"Awesome! I'll pick you up at six?" She says, slightly turning to go. Beca just nods numbly. She smiles again and leaves. She hardly glanced at me once. I raise an eyebrow and turn to Beca. She gives me a confused look.
"You realise that was practically a date, right?" I ask, already knowing the answer. Beca's face instantly glows.
"W-wha..it's not a...not a-a date." Beca splutters, face burning.
"Beca!" I groan and she covers her face with her hands. She peeps at me through her fingers.
"What if I want it to be?" She asks quietly. I gape at her, gape.
"Beca..." I start, trying to find the right words, "are you sure?" She gives me a sheepish look. I give a defeated sigh.
"Beca..I love you like a sister and, to be honest, you've had stranger tastes but I accepted them, didn't I?" She nods and a small smile appears. "But Chloe?" I playfully groan. Beca bursts out laughing.
