Chloe's POV
I can't help but to smile as Beca complains about the cold, again.
"We're almost there." I promise. She rolls her eyes.
"You said that twenty minuets ago." She says, rubbing her gloved hands together. She looks again at my backpack. "What's in there?" She asks, again. I grin cheekily at her.
"Many things."
"Chloe!" She groans in frustration.
"It's a surprise, Beca. Telling you would be ruining it." I continue walking and she keeps step with me.
"If we get eaten by wolves, it's your fault." She grumbles. I chuckle before giving her a quick peck on the cheek.
"You're safe. It's just beyond those trees." We continue walking and my mind drifts to last night. It wasn't awkward per say but neither of us were drunk so...it was new. I definitely liked it. Beca's nice and warm. Not to mention she makes the most adorable sounds when she sleeps, even if she refuses to believe it. A small gasp brings me back to the present and I realise we've passed the trees. We're in a rocky clearing that has a small outcrop of rock in the middle. Steam rises from the small pool resting inside of it.
"Oh, wow." Beca says, immediately walking forward. I smile fondly at her.
"It's one of my favourite places." I admit. "Grandpappy would bring me here as often as he could." I follow Beca until we both stand at the edge of the pool. I step back and sit down, starting to remove my shoes. Beca frowns down at me.
"What are you doing?" She asks.
"Taking off my shoes, silly." I answer, removing my socks. I quickly stand up and strip off my pants. Beca's eyes widen and she immediately averts her gaze.
"W-what are you doing?" She squeaks. I give her a lopsided grin as I walk to the edge of the spring, my legs already trembling.
"Going for a swim. Want to join me?" I step into the pool and slowly sink down, enjoying the warmth that wraps around me. Beca's eyes flicker from the hot water to my bare legs and back again. "It's nice and warm." There's only one more second of hesitation before Beca sits down and starts removing her shoes. I take this opportunity to take off my shirt and throw it on the pile. Beca's eyes widen even further but she returns them to her shoelaces.
"W-Won't we freeze on the way back?" Beca asks, tugging off her socks. I tilt my head in question. "Our clothes will be wet, won't they? Or at least damp." I smile.
"I brought spares." I admit.
"So this was planned." Beca murmurs, taking off her warm jeans and hurrying into the hot spring. She doesn't remove her shirt. I feel only a bit of disappointment but I understand. Boundaries and all that. I walk over to her and back her up against the edge.
"Did I plan going for a swim with a beautiful women?" I say, looking into Beca's eyes as we share the same breath. "Of course I did." I murmur. My eyes flick down to her lips. I lean in slowly, allowing her to pull away at any moment, before capturing her warm lips with my own. Okay, so I hadn't meant to be making out with her so fast but stuff happens. Despite all of her earlier hesitation Beca doesn't seem to mind this change of pace. That thought makes me pull away, my eyebrows crinkling in thought. Although a small smile graces my lips when Beca follows my lips with her own. My grin grows as I notice how flustered she is.
"I-before we go any further I just want to make sure I didn't cross any line. That I'm not crossing any now." Confusion takes over Beca's face and it's with a stab of guilt that I realise it's because I ignored almost all of her boundaries before. I let out a heavy sigh and shift away a little, not meeting her eyes. "It's just that I like you. I really like you and I don't want to start anything serious with you doubting it." Beca smiles warmly and comes over to sit on my lap, surprising me. She wraps her arms around me and starts nuzzling my neck.
"I'm sure about this. I admit," she pulls back and stares into my eyes, "this makes me nervous. Maybe even scares me a little but I trust you." She laughs. "I don't know when it happened, I'm not even entirely sure how, but I do." Beca smiles and it's so bright and open that for a moment I'm stunned. I pull her into a kiss and something inside of me glows. It's so warm that my chest is surely melting in the most pleasant of ways. In this moment I am sure that this is the girl who I want to spend my life with, if she will have me. I smile into the kiss. I've got her for the weekend and, for the moment, that is enough.
A/N
Okay, so that's it? I've completely lost my train of thought and I though this was a cute enough ending. Beca is 100% okay with Chloe's touchiness and they want to be together. Not to mention Beca finally got Chloe to stop being a player! Anyway, I thought this was a really cute fic and I hope you guys enjoyed it!
