~First of, let me explain. At home we had this marshmallow kind of things for Easter and there owere bunnies and eggs which were pretty cool, but also DUCKS... I hate ducks... So this is a Jace the Duck-hater one shot... Also some Clace, hehe... (And very small Malec and Sizzy hehehehe) Enjoy~

Jace usually didn't do any Mundane holiday, except Christmas, but Clary convinced him Easter was fun as well... And since Simon and Magnus also liked it, Alec and Izzy went with it as well. So it turned out, Jace didn't even had a choice in the end. Not that he minded, he would never mind spending time with Clary, not in any possible way.
"I'm back!" Izzy yelled, pulling him out of his thoughts. He looked up to see his sister, hand on her hip, staring at him.
"What were you doing?" she asked, nodding her head towards his hands. His eyes traveled down again. Without noticing, his hands had found their way around a knife. He was pretty sure it was on the table before, but now it was in his hands and the multiple cuts on his fingers told him he had been playing with it for awhile now. He placed the knife back on the table and stood up from the stool he had been sitting on.
"Didn't even realize that..." he mumbled, watching as thick red drips fell from his fingers on the kitchen floor. Isabelle shook her head and dumped a couple plastic bags on the counter. Jace walked towards the sink and held his hands under the running water. It burned slightly, making his fingertips numb.
"What's that?" he asked Izzy, looking at the bags, they all seemed to be overloaded with stuff and the logo on the side told him it came from a Mundane supermarket.
"Groceries..."
"You went to a Mundane supermarket?" He closed the tap and picked up a towel to dry his hands, which had stopped bleeding.
"With Simon, yes. He's getting the other bags." Jace raised an eyebrow, wondering how many more bags were coming. That moment the just Ascended Simon came in. Jace didn't exactly know why, but since Simon was a Shadowhunter as well, he was way less annoying, in Jace's eyes. Even while being a vampire, Simon had looked like a Mundane, but now, even that was mostly gone. Jace also liked the fact Simon had no problem with a demon hunt once in awhile and he was happy to have Simon's company. Not that he always had a choice, Simon was, after all, also Clary's Parabatai and Clary didn't go hunting without Simon. Now Simon looked slightly annoyed, having about twice as much bags as Izzy and dumping them on the table next to the others.
"Iz, no offense, but where is all this for? This is enough to feed the entire Academy," Jace commented, remembering the food and the people when he had been there to help people fall out of trees.
"It's for the Easer picnic..." Izzy explained.
"And Simon went with me, I don't understand Mundane supermarkets, if it was too much he would have said so."
Simon frowned. "I did..." Izzy turned at the poor boy and gave him a look, most likely, because he raised his hands in defense.
"Not that that matters of course." Izzy turned back to the bags, a smug smile on her face.
"I have seventeen years of Easter to catch up on, we can do it big," she stated.
"Do what big?" They all turned to the sound, seeing Clary stand in the doorway. She only had to look at him for one moment and a wide smile made his way onto his face. She smiled back, making her eyes bright and joyful.
"Hey Clary," Simon said, basically jumping up and down in front of his Parabatai.
Clary ignored him and went straight for Jace. She wrapped her small strong arms around him and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. He kissed back. She was so beautiful, so strong and so amazing, and sometimes he still didn't believe she loved him. But she did, he knew that, she told him all the time and he believed her, even if his mind told him she was to good for him. Slowly he wrapped his arms around her waist, his fingers tracking small circles around her spine. When she pulled back and looked at him with huge green eyes, he felt absolutely amazing. The kiss had been perfect, she was perfect.
"Ugh... Get a room," Simon mumbled, at which Izzy stumped him in the stomach. He let out a pained sound. Clary let go of Jace and turned to Simon.
"I'm sorry, not sorry. But hey Si, Izzy. What are you doing, if I may ask." Izzy smiled and pointed to the bags.
"We're preparing the Easter picnic."
Clary frowned at the amount of bags and said: "Were you planning on inviting an entire orphanage?" Izzy rolled her eyes.
"Of course not. We do it big, remember." Clary nodded, so hard Jace knew she didn't remember at all. He thought Izzy knew as well, because she threw her arms up in a statement of total desperation.
"What, by the Angel, do I need with you?" Then she turned around with a couple bags in her hand, putting them on the counter. "Now all of you out. I'm going to start cooking."
Oh no... Simon went totally white and Clary's face wasn't really different.
"Eh... Iz? Why don't you wait, eh... Till mom's home, or dad, yes... Till Robert is home, he will help you. I guess..." Jace tried to be polite, only a fool would make Isabelle Lightwood angry, but he had the feeling it wasn't really working out, actually he also had the feeling it wasn't going to stop Izzy from cooking.. Isabelle turned around, eyebrows raised.
"First of, I'm fine cooking by myself, second, dad's not going to be home for a long time, maybe never again and you know why. Think before you speak, Herondale." There were tears in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. Yep, totally wrong words. Way to go, Herondale. Of course Robert wasn't going to be home any time soon, after Max had died, little nine years old Max, things were simply not the same. And of course, Izzy was having most problems with both Max dying and the, whatever was going on, between her parents. He walked to her and hugged her. Normally he wasn't that kind of person, and Isabelle knew that all to well, but he cared about her a lot, and Izzy knew that as well. She hugged back.
"I'm sorry," Jace whispered. "But your cooking skills are simply dangerous. What about I help you." Isabelle released him and slowly nodded.
"We should call Alec then, having a Lightwood siblings moment." Jace had already got his phone out of his pocket and searched his contacts, which couldn't be more than 20 people, found Alec, at the first line, since his name started with an A and clicked the call button. He brought the phone to his ear, eyes going to Clary.
'Are you okay with this,' his eyes asked. She gave him a thumbs up as response. Simon looked confused about how the conversation had took a weird turn, but Clary pulled him with her out of the kitchen.
After a couple rings Alec reacted. "Hello?" He sounded sleepy.
"Alec. Come here now. We are having a Lightwood sibling moment, but we can't do it without you," Jace said in the phone. Izzy looked at him, her eyes asking if Alec agreed.
"You know, I'm kind of busy with having a child right now," Alec answered. Jace frowned. Was he missing something?
"What?!" He heard Magnus on the background, laughing.
"I mean not literally giving birth, it's just Max, mine and Magnus' warlock child... Remember?"
"Yeah, right."
"What's he saying?" Isabelle asked him. Jace shook his head. 'He's busy,' he mounted. Isabelle raised her hand, palm up.
"Okay, I'm going to give you Izzy on the line. Bye." Before Alec could respond, he laid the phone in Izzy's hand.
"Listen to me, Alec Lightwood. You can either get your stupid ass over here or you can stay there and suck it for the rest of your life. Lightwoods stick together, you promised!" She was practically yelling in the phone and even Jace would have listened to her, so he believed Alec was coming...
"He will be here as soon as possible," Izzy spoke out his thought.
"Good."
