Kristen's POV

I woke up at 11 AM the next day and saw that Alanna had left a message on my phone.  I opened it and listened closely.  "Hey Kristen... So my Grandma died so I can't stay with you in LA anymore.  My parents need me to fly home.   I'm really sorry."  The message ended tersely.  Well I was really upset.  I didn't want to live by myself in an unfamiliar, huge city.  It's not like I could just have another friends magically fly out and room with me for a month.  Maybe I needed to go home early... But Joey...  I didn't want to waste a single second with him, let alone leave a month before I had planned to.  Our relationship was just starting! This was something I decided was best to discuss with him, so I called him.  It rung a few times before he finally picked up.  "Hey Kristen.  What's up?" He said on the other end.  "Hey Joey.  So Alanna's grandma died," I told him.  "That's terrible!  Tell her I'm so sorry," he said, genuinely concerned for her.  "Well the thing is I can't.  She has to go back home for her family, and now I might, too."  I hated to admit it, but it was true.  "Why?  What does any of this have to do with you?" He was confused.  "Well I don't feel comfortable with living here alone.  It's a big city and I don't know it well at all."  It seemed like a stupid reason, but it wasn't.  It was so easy to wander into a bad part of L.A. or get lost.  You never know.  "Well I can come stay with you for a few day!" He still wasn't understanding what I was saying.  "Joey, it's not that.  I need to have someone for the rest of the trip."  There was silence on the other end for a minute.  "Just hold on and don't make any decisions yet.  I'll be over there in a minute."  I smiled to myself, knowing that he genuinely cared for me.  "Ok.  See you then!"  While I was waiting for Joey to arrive, I decided to call Tyler Oakley.  At some point this week we were going to set up that 1D date, so why not hang out before I have to leave for a long time? "Hey Tyler," I said when he picked up.  "Hey girl!  What's up?"  He asked.  He was always so cheery.  "Well I was wondering if you wanted to have that 1D date tonight... I may be going home sooner than I thought..."  I heard him sigh.  "Aww why?? And yeah I'm free, so let's do it!"  My heart jumped a little.  I was gonna fangirl with the PROFESSIONAL fangirl.  "Cool!  See you then! And my roommate had to leave and I don't wanna stay here all by myself.  I don't know the city at all."  I barely knew Tyler, (well besides his videos), but I felt like I could really open up to him.  "Won't Joey be upset?"  He asked.  "Yeah, he will.  But there's no way I can stay with him because Sawyer is having... issues about crap right now.  Me being there would make it worse."  I didn't want to explain, but I figured that was enough info to hold Tyler from asking questions for a bit.  "Oh I see.  Explain that to me later.  Well I think I can help you out."  I became confused.  "What do you mean?  Help me with what?"  I asked.  "I have an extra room.  Plus, any friend of Joey's is a friend of mine," he said.  My mind literally stopped thinking for a second.  "I mean, totally, yeah.  Thank you so much." I was practically speechless.  "No problem, really.  Let's have the 1D date at my place then.  You can bring your things and get Joey to help you bring them."  There was a knock on my door.  "Oh ok!  Sounds great!  See you later, Joey is here."  I hung up the phone with a giant smile on my face.  "Hey, why are you so happy?"  He asked.  "Well it looks like I'll be in LA for a little bit longer thanks to the professional fangirl."

Joey's POV

I knew she was referring to Tyler Oakley, but I was confused.  "How is he going to help you?"  I asked.  "He offered for me to stay at his place for the rest of the trip.  I don't have to leave early!"  My heart practically stopped I was so happy.  I was planning on asking Kristen to move in for the rest of her trip, but that could have gone really badly seeing as Sawyer would have been a wreck.  "That's amazing!  I'm so glad!"  Our eyes met and we both got quiet.  I leaned in and we began to kiss.  Quickly the kiss got more intense.  Before we knew it , I was pushing her over on the couch.  Slowly, I began to take off my shirt.  She pulled back immediately.  "What? Why?" I asked, my voice trailing off.  "I can't... I won't go any farther.  It's what I believe."  Oh, so she must be religious.  "It's totally cool.  We can just have a conversationanya."  Kristen smiled at me.  "Thank you for understanding.  Seriously."  I smiled back at her.  "Of course.  So what's up?"  The smile faded off of her face.  "Well I guess that I should just ask now before this gets too serious..." her voice trailed off.  "What? What is it?"  I was anxious to know what she was talking about.  "Well in a month I have to go back to University... It's in the middle of Virginia... So basically I'm asking if you are willing to at least try to work the long distance if or when the time comes."  It was such a big question, yet I didn't have to think twice about answering.  "Of course I am!  I'll even come visit you at your dorm and hang out for a weekend!"  There were small tears forming in the corners of her eyes.  "Thank you Joey.  That also means a lot."  I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.  "No, thank you for asking me.  I..." I stumbled on my words.  This was a good time to spit it out.  I love you, Kristen."  The words came out so softly; barely louder than a whisper.  "Oh my god," she replied.  Shootity shoot shoot, maybe I shouldn't have said that.  "J... Joey.." she stuttered.  "I'm so sorry I shouldn't have..." She cut me off.  "I love you, too."  I'm pretty sure that those were the prettiest, most beautiful words anyone had ever spoken to me.  "Really?"  My ears didn't believe what they heard.  "Yes, I do.  And I know you love me too because you'd be willing to come spend a weekend with me at Uni." Kristen laughed as she said it.  "Of course I would.  Why wouldn't I want to come see you at any chance I get?"  I asked.  "Well I don't know, but I'm sure some guys don't."  I smirked at her.   "Well that's what a guy should to when he's in love with a girl like I am."
