The entire ride to the mansion was so awfully quiet. Eisuke's been lost in his thought after he found the bracelet in Ota's garden. Nao looked rather worried but she couldn't say anything because he hasn't been responding to her calls since they got into the car. Nao looked at Eisuke who's staring blankly outside the window. She sighed and tore away her gaze from him.
'Well, just endure it for a little while more.' Nao thought to herself and took out her phone from her clutch. She played with her phone throughout the ride until they reached the mansion. Once they arrived at the mansion, Eisuke got off from the car immediately and left Nao behind. Nao sighed and went into the mansion, going straight to her room.
"What's wrong with him, really?" Nao mumbled as she closes the door behind her. She walked up to her wardrobe and took out her sleepwear. She proceeded to change her clothes and clean her makeup. Just when she's about to take off every accessories she wore, she realized that something has gone missing. She touched her wrist and looked at it. Her bracelet is not there. She panicked in instance and her heartbeat pace increased.
"Where did it go?" Nao said in panic as she look all over her room. She didn't find it which made her panicked even more.
"I was so sure I wore that to the party. Did it drop somewhere?"
Nao looked for it in her room again but with no avail, the bracelet wasn't there. She slumped down on her bed helplessly for she has lost the precious thing her first love gave to her. Tears rolled down from her cheeks as she realized that she has lost it for real.
"From all things, why should it be that?" Nao muttered, feeling so down because of the loss.
'I lost my most precious treasure. I would never see it again.' That thought made her tears rolled down even more.
"I'm so sorry for losing your gift..." Nao apologized as she choked on her tears. She took in a shaky breath and muttered something.
"I'm so sorry, Suke..."
...
Nao didn't feel like waking up. After she realized that her lost bracelet will never return, she didn't feel like doing anything. Just then, Eisuke opened the door and came into her room. He walked up to Nao who's still not moving from her sleeping position.
"How long do you intend to sleep? Class is going to start soon." Eisuke said but she gave him no answer. She got up and sat on her bed, staring blankly at anything in front of her. Eisuke found it odd because she didn't make an eye contact with him. It's like she didn't notice his existence at all.
"Come on and get ready, Yutaka." Eisuke persisted.
"I don't feel like going." Nao finally answered. Her answer made Eisuke's forehead frown in confusion.
"What are you talking about? You've never been absent from class. Come on, I'll be waiting--"
"I said I don't feel like going!" Nao shouted which made Eisuke widened his eyes in shock. He has never seen her being this way. Moreover, she never shouts at him. They both fell silent until Nao realized what she had done. She took a deep breath and sighed.
"Sorry for that but please just go on without me." Nao spoke with a hoarse voice and finally made an eye contact with Eisuke. Eisuke couldn't believe the sight before his eyes. Nao is totally messed up. Her eyes are red and swollen, her eyes don't sparkle like how they always do. He couldn't believe that she's speaking with a sad tone, not with her usual cheerful voice.
Eisuke understood that something's off with her and decided not to pester her anymore. He patted her head gently but she didn't respond. She only stared blankly at Eisuke. He felt a little funny in his chest but he knew he couldn't because of a certain someone he's looking for. He shook off those feelings and tried to give her a small smile.
