Over the couple of days since I had Levi and Spencer over, I was able to not only get a new washing machine but also get a job. I talked to the guy at Sears who was helping me find the right place and somehow we got to talking about the store needing employees. I went in the next day with my resume to the interview and left with a job working 6 hours, 9am to 3pm on weekdays.

Then on Wednesday, I called Levi to check on the plans for Saturday, we ended up talking for four hours straight. We talked about everything and nothing at the same time. We talked to each other again on Thursday and Friday, talking for hours on end and it was great.

The only thing I regret was not telling him the complete truth. I told him a lot about my parents and growing up with their views but I didn't tell him about the arranged marriage or the fact that I was rich. I didn't want to scare him off and I also wanted him to like me for me, not my money. Through my experience with dinners when I was back in Maine, so many people would be fake to try and get close to me and my family. I didn't want that with Levi.

But now, I was waiting in my living room with my swim trunks on. I was jittery and nervous. My palms were sweating and my hands were shaking.

All my life people have liked the front I put up, the professional, serious mask I wore. Will people like the real me, the me I'm happy being? Will Levi like me?

A knock on my door jarred me out of my thoughts. I wiped my palms on my thighs as I stood up and grabbed my bag.

"Hey!" Levi smiled as I opened the door.

"Hey." I smiled as my heart fluttered.

Levi's hair was ruffled in an attractive, just-got-out-of-bed kind of way. He was wearing solid red swim trunks and a white T-shirt with aviator sunglasses. His smile made me weak at the knees.

"You ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said as I stepped out onto my porch, closing the front door behind me.

We walked over to his car and hopped in.

Spencer babbled incoherently in his car seat behind Levi and Riley, Levi's 16 year old brother, sitting behind me, staring out the window with a scowl and crossed arms.

Something in Riley looked a little familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it so I let it go.

The ten minute ride to the beach was filled with Spencer babbling and Levi responding back to him every once in a while. Honestly, I loved listening to it. It was adorable and his giggles every once in a while made me smile.

We pulled into a small, abandoned parking lot surrounded by rocks.

"Why are we here?" I asked, not seeing a beach.

"The beach is kind of remote, not many people know about it. It's just over the rocks." Levi smiled. "I found it as a kid and have been coming ever since." He looked over at me as he parked the car.

As I got out, I looked around and realized that I kind of recognized this place. It felt familiar but I couldn't remember how.

Levi got Spencer out and put him down to let him out. Riley slammed his car door and matched his way over to the rocks and disappeared behind them.

I looked over to Levi to see the smile that was previously on his face gone. He was looking out after Riley before looking at the ground and shaking his head. When he lifted his head back up, he had plastered a fake smile on his face. He grabbed Spencer's hand and started leading him towards the rocks.
