What if clouds were purple?
What if the sky were green?
What if mighty mountains,
Were covered with whipped cream?
What if World War Three began?
What would we all do then?
What if money grew on trees?
Or you lived inside Big Ben?
Indeed what if what ifs came real?
And pigs could really fly?
You could walk on water,
Or live up in the sky,
Time travel was normal,
You could teleport to any place,
Have a lunch in Paris,
Or pop into outer space,
What if all your dreams came real?
You could swim just like a fish,
But would it still be magic,
If you no longer had to wish?
Every thing you wanted,
Would fall right in your lap,
But if you think about it,
Where's the fun in that?
It could rain chocolate,
Or hail cats and dogs,
And to marry handsome princes,
You need only kiss a frog,
But as I said earlier,
(I’m sure that you can read)
Wouldn’t you get bored?
Of having all that you don’t need?
So I guess the moral of this poem,
Is something all should heed,
The grass is never greener,
And what ifs are best as dreams.
