The heart of the Storm
Thunder roared, lightening clapped,
No shred of peace remained intact,
A war had started hellish and loud,
Terrifying those who gathered round,
Howling winds began to scream,
The sun suddenly lost its gleam,
The heavens opened dropping tears,
Thunder and lightening throwing spears,
One would flash the other boom,
Both shunning the wiseness of the moon,
Peace and quiet fleeting and rare,
Perhaps it was that time of year,
They were at it day in day out,
Fighting, arguing, having a shout,
It started off like any other,
Yet this one was worse than sister verse brother,
The winds clashed swirling in rage,
Banging and clapping 'till a hurricane was made,
In the end I'm glad to say,
The anger and hate faded away,
The sun slowly peeked back out,
Drying the tears of those in doubt,
Yet in the shade the tears still brimmed,
The eyes of the trees still red rimmed,
The trees snapped and chucked like twigs,
Never had effects been that big.
Much like the storm, the pain in a heart,
Causes arguments, ripping families apart.
