~One day, someone will walk into your life and make you see why it never worked out with anyone else.~

Ronnie

"Grandma!" Janessa cried. "I miss Grandma!"

I picked her up and placed her the backseat of my pickup. She whaled and kicked her feet not letting me buckle her into her booster seat. Once she was finally in her seat i got into the drivers seat and let my dad climb into the front seat. The whole way to the Moore's Janessa wouldn't stop crying and begging for grandma. I don't think she understand that she's gone.

I picked up my toddler and walked down the pathway to the West Wing garden since that's the orchard I was assigned. Sitting right outside on a pool chair was Aspen. She was in a pair of plain pajama shorts and a white tee shirt. She's sipping on a tea cup and there's a bagel on the plate in front of her.

She spots us and smiles. She stands up and walks towards us. My eyes can't help but roam her body. Those short shorts showed off her mile long legs and the tight shirt showed all her curves. She sees Janessa's tears and takes her out of my arms. Janessa stops crying all at once and snuggles into her arms.

"Are you hungry, Hun?" She asks and Janessa nods. "Come inside and have breakfast with me please? I'm so lonely."

I scratch the back of my neck. "It's fine-"

"Ronnie, She hungry." Aspen says. "I'll watch her for you, but you have to eat with us."

"Aspen." I chuckle. "I'm not hungry, but thanks."

She huffs. "Fine, but you have to eat lunch with us."

I chuckle again. "Okay."

She beams from ear to ear then skips into the house with Janessa waving bye to me. I go into the orchard and see Julia there water the trees. She frowns at me then sets down the hose.

"uh she's so stuck up." She scowls.

"Who?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"Aspen Moore." She says nastily. "Literally the most snobby person i ever met."

I scoff. "Have you ever spoken to her, Julia?"

"No... erm, but you can obviously tell." She says making me roll my eyes.

Julia is a very pretty girl, but she loves to start problems. She dad is the Moore's personal chef, but as a punishment for being expelled, she has to work outside with us gardeners. She has dirty blonde hair that goes half way down her back. Her eyes are a nice shade of green and she has an athletic body type.

I was by the rose bushes pulling out the weeds when i saw Aspen and Janessa setting up a small table outside. There were so many types of foods on the table along with 2 normal chairs and one high chair for Janessa. My stomach growled just looking at the food.

I found myself start counting the minutes until 12:30 so i could enjoy all that good food. My heart skipped a beat when i heard Aspen's voice calling me, but not because of the food now, but because something about her just had this huge affect on me.
