~Love doesn't hurt, loving the wrong person does.~

Ronnie

I went home that day with a huge grin. Janessa was fast asleep and my dad was snoring next to me. I shook him awake and opened the door for him. I walked him up the steps to his house then i went back to the car and drove to my apartment.

I reached into the back and picked up Janessa. I walked up the stairs and standing outside my door was Cally, my ex. I dumped her last months, but she still hasn't gotten the hint. I left her right after i saw bruises all over Janessa's body. I know it was her because she took care of my daughter.

She never liked Janessa and said she was always in the way. I wanted a girl who loved me and cared for my daughter. Cally stood there pulling up her skimpy dress so it barely covered her vagina. I rolled my eyes and pushed past her.

"Go away Cally or i swear I'll call the cops again." I say opening the door.

She groans. "I swear if that little brat wasn't here we would still be together."

"Go home Cally. You look so fucking stupid coming here every day and don't you dare talk about my daughter like that." I tell her shoving her out. "Leave!"

She stumbles out. "You can always put her up for adoption!"

I slammed the door in her face and Stormed into the kitchen where Janessa was. She had tears in her eyes and her nose was running. I hug her and she squeezes me tightly. Janessa is very smart and is smart enough to understand what she had said about her.

"Don't let it get to you, Nessa." I say.

After a few minutes, she falls asleep and carefully, i take her back to her room and lay her down in her crib. I rock her back and forth until i hear her soft snores. I then grab a fresh pair of pajamas and go into the bathroom. I take a shower then change into my shorts and tee shirt.

I go back into my room and lay on the bed just thinking of Aspen. Her bright smiles, spotless blonde hair, her sea blue eyes. The freckles underneath her eyes and on the bridge of her nose. She was just perfect and what made her inhumanly perfect was that she cared for Janessa.

She would be perfect for us, but I doubt she'd want a gardener like me. What could i give her? Nothing. She wouldn't want a guy covered in dirt, she'd want a rich guy that's tall. Blonde and blue eyed with a perfect fucking life. He could give her everything.

A girl like Aspen deserves everything.
