~Some people come into your life as blessings, others come in your life as lessons.~

Aspen

I walked down the steps of our new private jet. My 6 inch Jimmy Choo heels clicked loudly on the metal steps. I held onto my wide brim floppy sun hat with one hand and I held onto the rail with the other. Below me, my older brother Tylerjay stood with his hand extended to help me. T.J. is 2 years older than me but he can sometimes be a 4 year old on crack.

"Hey Aspen." My brother says hugging me. "Thanks for visiting."

When Tylerjay turned 18 last year, he moved out and dad lets him stay in our L.A. vacation house since he is attending UCLA on a full paid scholar ship. He's majoring in directing like my dad so of course my dad was going to help his smart ass out.

"Missed you too Jayjay." I take off my sunglasses and place it my Sedona Medium Leather shoulder Bag from Michael Kors himself at my 17 year old birthday party a week ago.

"I have school in about an hour, but I should be back by 3." He says checking the time on his phone. "All the workers there are new and super nice. Please be nice Aspen."

I roll my eyes. "Sure."

We walk over to the huge limo waiting for us. The driver opens the door for us while 2 of our workers place my things in the trunk of the car. The middle aged man smiles at me. He seems mice with his slightly graying black hair and light brown eyes.

"Good afternoon Miss Moore." He says. "Such a pleasure too see you again."

I smile. "Thank you."

He turns around and starts the car. The drive the our vacation house is silent the whole way. I put in my ear phones and listen to music the whole way. When we arrived, the door was opened for me and I stepped out. The first thing I see is our huge front lawn covered in green grass. There's a stone path that goes all the way up to the front doors.

The house is a cream color and is small compared to our house back in London.  Everything looks like it had just been cleaned up and the plants and flowers look as if they were just put into the ground. Around me were tons and tons of workers. Some waved or simply smiled. (house below)

Another middle aged man walks up to m brother and T.J. greets hi with a man hug. The man has caramel colored skin, dark brown Afro hair, and dark brown eyes. He has some sort of Hispanic accent when he speaks.

"Aspen, this is my head gardener Fernando Mendoza." Tyler says. "His son works here as well, Ronnie? Right?"

The man nods. "Yes"

I nod. "Nice to meet you Mr. Mendoza. Tyler, I'll be out by the pool most of the day if you need me. Please get someone to take my suit cases to my room."

"Wait! Which pool?" T.J. asks

I roll my eyes. "The pool on the West Wing."

I walk right in through the glass doors and straight up the huge spiral staircase. I stopped at the 3rd floor and walked down the hall until I came across my room. It was pretty small, but it had coral colored curtains framing doors and all windows. A light pink bed with a canopy hanging above.

The floor was all wood and I had chairs, sofas, 3 TVs placed around the room. And right in the center of my ceiling was a huge chandelier. There's a huge glass door leading to my balcony. The balcony connects to more stairs leading down to the West Wing pool. (room below)

I changed into my favorite swim suit which consists of a floral top and black, studded bottoms. I throw on light pink cover and tie it onto my waist. I grab a white fluffy towel, my sunglasses, black floppy hate, and my phone.

I put on my sunglasses and hat then make my way down the balcony.I reach the West Wing pool. It's pretty big compared to the North Wing pool. It's surrounded by a huge orchard. It's filled with all types of fruit trees with colorful flowers scattered around.

I sit down in a pool chair and check my phone. I'm quickly distracted by a beach ball being thrown over some rose bushes. The ball hits me right on the head making my blood boil. I sit up quickly and march over to the bushes.

I look over them to see a toddler. At least 2 years old, she has hazel eyes and curly hair pulled into a high pony tail. She has dark olive skin and one of the prettiest smiles I've ever seen. She's one of those kids you look at and think 'She's going to be a heart breaker'.  I pick her up and she smiles at me.

"Janessa! Janessa Where are you?!" A frantic deep male voice calls. His voice is smooth nd gives me goose bumps.

A man about 20 emerges from behind more rose bushes and his eyes widen when he spots me caring the child. He rushes over to us and takes Janessa into his arms. She giggles and looks at me then points to the man.

"Daddy!"

The guy is really good looking. If it weren't for his dirty clothes i would have thought he was some model. He has dark brown, almost black, Afro hair and dark brown eyes. His skin is a dark olive and on them are tons of tattoos.

"I am so sorry Miss Moore." He apologizes. "Janessa loves wondering off in the orchards."

I nod. "She's adorable." I say playing with the little girl's hands. "You guys seemed tired, do you want to join me for lunch?"

The guy shakes his head. "I'm sorry Miss Moore, but I have so much work to finish. Maybe another time."

"It's okay and please call me Aspen."

He smiles. "Nice to meet you. I'm Ronnie Mendoza."

"You seem really young. How old are you? 20?" I ask.

"19 actually. I started working here 2 years ago."
