The next day Royce sat at his large oak desk staring out the window at the bustling city below him. Since Alena had entered his life he was a lot less productive at work. She was all he could think about. He kept thinking of her long, chestnut colored hair that flowed down her back in waves; her tiny frame that had such gracious curves; her large, blue-grey eyes that were framed by thick, black eyelashes. He had never seen eyes that beautiful. Her features were small and delicate. She had perfect, creamy, porcelain skin, and lovely, full lips. She always looked gorgeous and she always looked very innocent. She was perfect. He wanted her incredibly bad, but he felt selfish. He knew that she deserved someone better than him. She was beautiful in fact the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She would never want to even be around me if she knew my past, he thought to himself.

He reminisced about when he first met her. He had been interviewing other potential nannies. The first candidate was a large, Slovakian woman. Her name was Olga and she was very cold and somewhat intimidating. She barely spoke English and when she did it sounded like she was barking. He seemed to remember that she had a strange fishy smell to her as well. She seemed more like a drill sergeant than a caregiver. Olga was not the type of woman he wanted Gavin to be around after everything he had been through. He needed someone loving and nurturing. He marked Olga's name off the list and then called the next applicant. The next girl seemed nice enough but she was the free-spirit, hippy type. She needed extra money to supplement her yoga instructor income. When he asked her if she cooked, she stated that she believed in only vegan based meals. Yuck! No way, he remembered he had thought to himself.

Then Alena came in. I guess the third time really is the charm, he chuckled lightly to himself. He remembered how nervous he became upon seeing her. She looked like a model or a beauty queen definitely not like an applicant for a nanny position. After talking with her, he realized how down-to-earth and sweet she was; he knew that she was who he wanted to look after Gavin. She was perfect for the part-time role. She was smart, attending nursing school with a focus on pediatrics. She also had a lot of experience with children as she worked at a daycare before moving to the city. She had a younger brother too. Best of all, she could cook and it was definitely not weird vegan food.

It had been a year since she entered his life. She was so sweet and patient but he felt like she was slightly afraid of him. She always seemed nervous when they spoke. Her lovely face, long hair, and petite yet curvaceous body entered his mind again. He knew a way to make her more comfortable maybe a few passionate kisses to start and then a few more between her thighs.

A loud ringing noise interrupted Royce's daydreams about Alena.

"Hello?" Royce answered the phone reluctantly giving up his thoughts about Alena.

"Hey Royce this is Aaron. What's up bro?" Aaron said cheerfully.

"Aaron! Hey man what have you been up to? I haven't heard from you in awhile. How are all of your business ventures? Hey do you still own that strip club?" Royce replied.

"Yeah I do! That's what I was calling about! Being as how I haven't seen you in a few months I thought I'd invite you to come to the club tonight and toss back a few drinks and talk about old times," Aaron replied.

The boys talked for awhile. Afterwards Royce left his office and headed home to get ready. Before coming upstairs to his apartment, he called his Uncle Hubert to babysit Gavin for the night.

Royce shut his car door and started to make his way from the parking garage to his apartment. He felt guilty for leaving Gavin but he needed a little break. It's just for one night. Besides, Uncle Hubert gets lonely and he loves watching Gavin. Plus, I better go out before Alena moves in; I don't want her thinking I'm some sort of scumbag, Royce thought to himself. He fumbled for his apartment key. Is offering for Alena to move in just a ploy for me to get closer to her, Royce continued to think. Deep down he knew he could never have anyone as beautiful and lovely as her. How could I possibly deserve her, he thought to himself.
