Chapter 6

Lauren's POV

"Hey guys," I walked over to my table at lunch with Keana. "You guys know Keana. Mind if she sits here now?" I asked them nervously.

"Um," Dinah begins. Everyone looked pretty awkward.

"I know she's not in the band but she's my girlfriend and I want to be with her at lunch," I explained.

"It's okay, Laur. I don't have to sit here. These are your girls," Keana said.

"No, babe I want you here," I argued back. "Please, guys? Come on, we can all sit together; it'll be fun," I turned my attention back to my friends.

"Uh...yeah it's okay," Normani nodded slowly. Thank God Mani was the most understanding.

"Thanks, guys!" I jumped and sat down gesturing for Keana to do the same.

"Don't worry I won't bother you guys. Just do what you usually do," she smiled. She was so sweet. The girls still didn't look too thrilled especially Camila but this would be good for them to get to know Keana. Maybe then they'll open up and like her.

"So, we usually talk about the band and what song we should do," I told her.

"Oh yeah it's Lauren's turn to pick," Ally pointed.

"Really? Cool. Um hmm lemme think. Maybe...a love song?" I smirked at my girlfriend. "We haven't done one yet."

"That's true," Normani nodded.

"Oh what about 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri?" Keana suggested. "I really like that song. It's very romantic," she smirked putting her arm around me pulling me in.

"Oh," I blushed. "How about that one?" I asked the girls.

"I actually like that song too!" Dinah exclaimed.

"Same!" Normani as well as the other girls. Camila just nodded her head.

"Alright then we'll do that one and start rehearsing it tonight," I grinned.

"Umm guys?" I asked the girls. We were at Normani's house in her room for band rehearsal. It was going well until we took a break and I checked my email and something catching my eye.

"What is it, Lauser?" Dinah asked.

"I just got an email from Bruno Mars' sisters?!" I exclaimed in shock.

"What!? Like the Bruno Mars?" the Poly ran over to me as did the others looking at my phone with me.

"Yeah they're sisters I guess. It's like from their lawyer saying that we stole their band name?" I said in disbelief.

"How is that possible?" Camila asked.

"I have no idea but they had LYLAS before us. They are 'The LYLAS.'"

"But we didn't even steal it. We didn't even know they were in a band. We came up with that ourselves," Camila shook her head.

"Doesn't matter. They had it before us and they could sue," I reasoned.

"They can't sue us. We're minors," Normani furrowed her eyebrows.

"Still, it's illegal since they're already established and such. We need to change the band name," I stated looking up from my phone.

"Great. Back to the drawing board!" Dinah groaned.

"Maybe this will be good for us ya know? I never really connected with 'LYLAS' anyway," Camila shrugged.
