Lauren's POV

"I definitely see a lot of potential in you girls and think you will all be very successful. L.A. thinks so too so, you'll be signed jointly with Syco and Epic Records."

Those words Simon Cowell said to us could not stop playing in my head. Once he said that, I almost dropped to my knees and started bawling. We all cried for what seemed like hours. We, Fifth Harmony, were signed to two major music labels. We were going to be able to make our own music, go on tour, and basically do everything we've dreamt of.

It's crazy how much we've done in only three months of starting the band and now we're getting signed. It felt fast yet put in so much work and we're so happy that it's recognized. I am honestly so blessed to be where I am now and to be with the girls I love the most.

"We couldn't be more proud of you, Lauren," my mom pulled me into a hug. We've been back at home for a few days already and the school semester was ending and midterms were starting. Then, Christmas break would come but the girls and I wouldn't be going back.

To think that us moving out to LA to start our real music careers was just in a few weeks, didn't feel real at all. I still felt like a normal Junior in high school. And I was but also someone who just landed the most incredible job in the world it seemed.

"Thank you so much, Mama," I squeezed.

"I'll see you when you come home. Enjoy your very last day at a normal public school," she smiled.

"I will," I nodded and left.

"When are you coming back?" my best friend Alexa asked as her and I and our other friends were sitting in the courtyard.

"I don't even know," I shrugged. "Could be a few months maybe five, six, seven. We're going to do promo, start recording, and hopefully go on tour," I explained.

"That's a lot. All in a few months?" Melissa questioned.

"Yeah, well, the industry's like that. It's a lot of work," I chuckled. "We got to do a lot of work to be who we are."

"You're definitely going to make it big, Lauren," Brittany complimented with a pat on the back.

"Thanks," I grinned.

"It's gonna be weird not seeing you at school everyday," Erica said.

"Same. It's gonna be weird not being with you guys and I'm gonna miss you so much," I sighed.

"We'll miss you too, Lo. But we'll always be supporting you and will be first row at your shows," Alexa hugged me.

"Yeah, we'll be your number one fans," Erica joined as the rest of the girls did.

"I love you guys," I started to tear up. "And don't worry, we're gonna have a great Christmas break together."

_______________

The day started coming to an end as all the students were finishing up their last finals. I finished my AP History midterm in only 20 minutes since it was easy as hell. I think I got the highest GPA in the whole Junior class, not to brag or anything. But school was behind me. I mean, I was still going to graduate high school but just in a different way that would be compatible with the new lifestyle I'll be living.

I felt kind of bittersweet though. I've always gone to school and had the best of friends and now, things won't be the same anymore. I wouldn't get to see them very much...or my family.
