Calum's P.O.V. Chapter 3

After she said those words I didn't know what to do, her voice sounded so much different now to what it had been when she was talking with Aleisha, she almost seemed nervous to be talking to me? I guess that's the right word.

She was smiling at me, and it was one of those smiles that just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She looked so angelic and her smile fit her perfectly. Some people look so stupid when they smile, like it's forced and uncomfortable for them, but not Erin, hers was effortless and perfect just like her.

I only realised I was staring at her because I was elbowed in my side by Aleisha, I blinked twice and looked to the group who were all just staring at me slightly amused. "Nice one Cal, scaring her off on the first day" - yeah that was Michael's comment, I looked back to Erin who was looking at the ground, a slight pink tinge to her cheeks.

I smiled slightly at her and said "hey". And I instantly regretted it. 'Hey' seriously Calum, that's the best you could do, she's probably already thinking you're a weirdo, but when she looked up she was smiling again. She copied my words "hey.. Good first word, nice work Calum" and although she was joking, it wasn't in a mean way and we both knew that. "I try" I chuckled throwing her a wink, causing her to erupt with the giggles, me soon joining her.

"Well, as much as I'd love to carry on watching you two bond over Calum's strangeness, we only have ten minutes left of break, and I'd prefer to spend it outside" said Luke in a sassy tone that made us all laugh. We all started to head for the door, me and Erin at the back until she stopped.

I turned to look at her and she was looking at her timetable confused. I turned to the group to ask them to stop, but they'd already gone. Terrific. Come on Calum, time to be a man. I turned back round to Erin, seeing her still pouting cutely at her timetable. I walked over to her and stood next to her.

She looked up at me when I asked her what's the matter. "I don't know where any of these rooms are" she then giggled nervously, making it obvious she hadn't been paying attention on the tour she was given by the head teacher earlier. I just smiled at her and said "well, hand me your timetable, if we have any classes together, you can just stick with me.. If not, I'll show you" she was looking at me strangely and I quickly added "if that's okay with you of course?!" I was suddenly really nervous. I think she sensed this and smiled and said "that would be perfect", "okay, what was the strange look for then?" I immediately started to blush when i realised I had said it out loud. She just laughed and said "you're the first guy who hasn't asked for my number straight away. It's just...weird?" I nodded and said "hey, the day is still young" throwing her another wink causing her to laugh again and nudge me playfully.

I gently took her timetable out of her hands and I swear I felt electric shots as her fingers delicately graced my skin. If I did feel them and I wasn't imagining it, I'm pretty certain she felt them too, because she started blushing and looked down.

I glanced over her timetable, my heart stopping for a second when I realised we had all classes together accept for one. Music. Instead she had photography. "Well, it looks like I won't be much of a tour guide today"' she looked at me confused and I just told her "we have all the same classes together, accept photography, because I don't do that, I do music instead".

She grinned widely and said "yay, I have a friend!" and I smiled at this. "Let the tour begin" I said in my best 'announcing' voice causing her to erupt in giggles for the umpzillienth time, she smiled and said in her poshest British accent, "lead the way kind sir" and we both made our way down the school corridors laughing.

We started walking around the school so I could show her all the bits that were actually worth her time, like the canteen, sports hall, where all our classes would be, the field where we saw the group sitting in a circle, and waved at them, receiving a chorus of cheeky grins and eye wiggles in return, making us both blush.
