Chapter 8

Calum's P.O.V. Chapter 8

The rest of that afternoon went by pretty quickly. No one mentioned what Erin had said - about me dying twice - so the general mood in the room was a lot more positive. As predicted Michael and Alex had eaten the second box of pizza, which had annoyed Luke because Aleisha had said she was hungry. So the two of them went off together to get some food, not necessarily pizza, and took a surprisingly long time to return, and when they did they both looked a bit flustered causing Michael to make a sexual comment towards the both of them about it, forgetting my parents were in the room. This caused Erin to punch him in the arm and then laugh along with a blushing Aleisha as they high-fived over Michael's pain. The two of them seemed to be getting on really well which was a relief for Luke and myself.

After about an hour my parents left the 6 of us in the room, we just sat there watching things on YouTube, eating and laughing. I looked down to ask Erin something, only to see she had fallen asleep on the bed, aw. I got Alex to pick her up and tuck her in the duvet, considering she'd fallen asleep on top of the duvet curled in a tight ball - she didn't look very comfortable because her face was in a frown.

Aleisha took Erin's phone and took an awkward photo of all of us with the front camera to set as Erin's background which was currently an older looking photo of Erin, Ellie and a little boy who looked about 5, all dressed up in Halloween costumes. Ellie was a fairy with a light pink sparkly crown, the little boy was a pumpkin - he looked adorable! And Erin was dressed as a vampire, but a hot lady vampire, not Dracula.

She then went on to Erin's contacts and phoned someone, me and the boys exchanged weird glances as Aleisha left the room on the phone. She came back in and said "Erin's dad is on his way to pick her up" we all nodded when we realised Aleisha must have spoken to Erin's parents before.

At this point Erin had snuggled completely in to my side, wrapping her left arm loosely around my chest and placing her left leg in-between my own legs, which slightly turned me on. Her face was nuzzled in to my neck, making me shiver every time she breathed.

A little over 15 minutes later, there was a knock at the door causing us to all look towards the door. I saw a man around about 40, he was tall, had dark blonde hair, green eyes and in the least gayest way possible was actually attractive. Aleisha stood up and gave him a hug, and I recognised him as the guy who had dropped Ellie and Erin off at school on their first day, the one with the cool ferrari. Aleisha introduced him to us; "guys this is John, Erin's dad". He smiled a perfect smile at us and said "pleasure to meet you" and then Aleisha introduced us; "John, this is Luke, Michael, Alex and lastly Calum" pointing to each of us individually. When she said my name, he looked my way - recognising my name. "So you're the Calum Erin won't shut up about" he took a quick glance down my body to his daughter who was curled up in to my side and I instinctively wrapped my arm around her tighter, to let him know I wasn't going to hurt her and then he continued "it's a pleasure to meet you!" He held his hand out for me to shake and I accepted. Fuck, he had a good grip, if he was trying to intimidate me, he was succeeding.

I noticed he wasn't wearing his wedding ring on the left finger but he instead had it on his thumb. Erin's hand snaked up my chest and looked down to notice she had a woman's wedding ring on her thumb. This confused me - I'd have to ask her about it at a later date.

John finally let go of my hand and gently shook Erin's shoulder causing her to wake up. She looked around the room sleepily before sighing and getting out of the bed, leaving me cold.

She walked around the room saying goodbyes to everyone and hugging them and walked over to me kissing me on the forehead and then cheek, whispering "i'll see you tomorrow" as she did. Then she walked over and hugged her dad mumbling a "hi" and they left the room, John giving us all a wave as he shut the door, turning to Erin and cheekily saying loud enough, with a smirk, so we could all hear "they seem nice, especially Calum" causing her to roll her eyes and say "you're so embarrassing!" This caused John to laugh out loud, his laugh almost as perfect as hers. They had the same flawless smile, but Ellie looked more like John than Erin, so I'm guessing her looks are from her mother, she's probably gorgeous too.

All of a sudden Aleisha started giggling and held up her phone for all of us to see, on it, read a text message from Erin saying; 'thanks for the background you weirdos. Love you all. As does my dad - freak. See you tomorrow. Xx'

We all laughed about it and as the night drew on, everyone started to leave, eventually it was just me and Luke left, so we decided to have a 'bro' chat about Erin and Aleisha.

It's been a while since me and Luke have had some serious guy time, because he and Aleisha have been together for just over a month, which means they've been attached at the hip, so it was nice for the two of us to talk about girls.

Luke's the first to say something; "the girls seem to be getting on well don't you think?" I nod, but I can tell he's trying to hide something from me, so I look at him and say "what is it Luke? You can tell me remember?" He blinks at me, then let's out a defeated sigh letting me know something is on his mind and he speaks. "Well, me and Aleisha have been together for a bit, as you know, and well, things are getting a little 'heated' between us" I nod, indicating him to continue, which he does "and today when we left the room to get food, we kissed, but it wasn't cute like the normal ones, it was heated and sexual, and ended up with her legs wrapped around my waist, me pressing her against the wall in the storage cupboard!" I laugh at this, causing him to join in, and I jokingly say "so Michael's sexual reference was totally appropriate then" to which he blushes but nods. "So what's the problem?" I continue the conversation, he sighs and looks down and says "I've never done anything sexual with a girl in my life except for making out, I don't want to do anything wrong"

This is where I decide to use my advice guru (Mali) and tell Luke what she tells me. "Listen Luke, if you like her which I'm pretty certain you do, the way you look at each other, everything will be okay. You two are the cutest couple EVER and I'm not just saying that because you're my best friends. You guys don't need to go straight in to you know, doing it just yet to prove you like each other, just do the basics? You won't do it wrong Luke, because she cares about you and you do for her so everything will go perfectly" I finish my little speech with a smirk and say "and when you do decide to get a bit more frisky, remember, protection is important!" He laughs at this and just nods saying "thanks Cal, so what about you and Erin huh?" I shrug indicating it's nothing but he won't budge.

"Come on dude! I saw you when you walked in to religious studies with her! You've never grinned so widely in a lesson before and by the looks on both of your faces, something went down" I look at him, mentally cursing my best friend for knowing me too well, and I say "fine" and then I tell him. I tell him about the kiss, my feelings towards her, anything I can think of to do with her.

By the end of it, he is just grinning at me massively. He simply stands up, gets his coat and says two words, smirking, before he walks out of the door "you've pulled." I roll my eyes at the door, considering he's already left and I start to think, slowly letting sleep consume my body.
