The Rare Neko

"Kimiko, we have to get out of here!" The two children ran across the bombing fields and tried to find a way to escape. The children were trembling in terror. "What are we gonna do, Hikoru? If they find us hiding here, they'll kill you and kidnap me!" The girl was shaking in fear and confusion. The boy put his hands on her shoulders and said, "Hey! Look at me! I promised you that I would protect you and that's what I'm gonna do. I don't care what happens to me. All I'm worried about is that they don't get you." A few moments later, there was a loud explosion that blew the children back. "We want the girl. Hand her over and maybe, you won't get hurt. We need her power to finish what we started three years ago. Her power is the key to the destruction of all worlds. So be a good boy and give her to us." "Hell no, you fucking prick! I would rather die than to hand over my sister." The man looked at the boy and smiled, "Very well then. I guess I'll have to kill you instead." As soon as the man raised the gun up to the boy's face, the girl's eyes turned red and a power blast came from her body. The blast was so strong that it blew the soldiers into the wall and splattered their bodies. The girl fell out onto the floor, breathing hard. "Holy shit! Kimiko, I told you, your power is too strong, we have to control it first." She got back up on her feet and stared at the wall. Her eyes were widen and full of fear. Kimiko placed her hands over her mouth, and began to cry. "I can't go on...I can't go on if it means that I have to kill more people. My powers are still unstable. If I keep using them like this I will have demon magic. I'm not ready to die from those powers." Hikoru looked at his sister and hugged her. "You're just scared Kimiko. When you see that either one of us are in danger, your power triggers. I promise that if we make out of here, I'll seal off your demonic powers, for now. Okay?" Kimiko shook her head in agreement. The two kids got up and ran once more across the bombing fields. There was a bright light that was shining ahead of them. Kimiko's grim face grew into a huge smile. Then, there were bullets flying towards them. "Oh fuck," shouted Hikoru as he dodged the bullets, but unfortunately got hit by two. Kimiko turned towards him and looked at him laying on the ground "Kimiko, you have to leave this place. I told you not to worry about me. Save yourself." 

As Kimiko ran towards Hikoru, the soldiers began charging at them with guns, swords, and chains. Kimiko's eyes turned purple and she transformed into a wolf. She assisted Hikoru to get on her back and Kimiko ran towards the portal. Ginormous tanks were chasing after Kimiko and firing at her. "We're almost there! Just a few more steps!" Kimiko began to howl as she was hit by some bullets. Kimiko reverted back into a human when she was injured. Hikoru grabbed her and placed her in the portal. Kimiko's breathing began to grow lighter and lighter. "Hang in there, Kimiko." Hikoru typed in coordinates to a different planet. He snapped the chain from around his neck and placed the key into the ignition. The portal began to whirl and light up. Hikoru ran over to Kimiko and placed his hands over her wounds. His hands began to glow green and he watched as her wounds closed in. Kimiko's breathing became normal, yet she was still passed out. Soldiers began to climb on top of the portal. There was a red light that began to beam on the inside. Hikoru looked at Kimiko and smiled. He walked over to her and kissed her forehead. "I will always be with you. I love you, Kimi." Hikoru grabbed his sword and left the portal. He went out onto the battlefield and fought to protect his sister. Kimiko woke up from her slumber and realized that Hikoru wasn't there. She ran to the widow to notice that he was outside of the portal. Hikoru was overtaken by soldiers, then was stabbed through the chest. All you heard was the sound of Kimiko's heart beat as she watch her brother die in vein. The portal took off as she screamed his name, "Hikoruuuuuuuuu!!!" Her hair turned white and her eyes became red. Her screams of pain were the only thing that was heard. Never again to see the face of her brother, Hikoru.
