That Feeling

Kimiko's POV

After the big fight between Ace and I, everything seemed to be going smoothly. I never had a bad dream of my family and demonic powers are completely gone! Of course I've been nursing Ace back to health, since...I was kind of the one who did this to him. *nervous chuckle* 😅 One day, I decided to make us a ham and cheese omelet. I gathered all of the ingredients for the dish and prepare our meal. Suddenly, I heard a high-pitched noise. Thanks to my "wolf" ears, the sound was bringing me down to the floor. I quickly tried to cover my ears and said, "ACE!! I NEED YOU!! HELP MEEEEEEEEEEE!!" My screams became howls. Ace came running to down the stairs, scared out of his mind. "Kimiko! What's going on?!?!" After a few moments, Ace fell to the floor as well. We were both screaming in pain, as our ears felt like they were bleeding. 30 minutes later, the noise stopped. "I haven't felt that much pain since the experiments," Ace said, getting up slowly. He looked over towards me and ran in my direction. He began to scream my name, however I didn't answer. Ace grabbed a mini flashlight and shined it in my eyes. My eyes were completely one color, solid green. Ace quickly picked me up and laid me down on the couch. "Kimiko? Can you hear me? It's me, Ace. I was wondering if you could see the light in my hand? Kimiko, I need you to answer me." I felt like I did answer him, but he didn't hear me. Whenever my eyes went completely to one color that means something is happening and I'm trying to find out what it is. 

A few minutes later, I realized where I was and why Ace couldn't hear me. I was inside of my own head! Soon, a trail of lights lead to something. I was unsure if I should've followed it (realize people, this is my head. You know the head that almost KILLED my boyfriend/future husband and me! You know something bad is going to come out of this, right?). In the distance I saw a black wolf. She gazed at me and ran off. She looked backed at me, to see if I was following her. Soon after, the wolf lead me into a forest. "Why did you bring me here," I asked. The wolf soon ran deeper into the woods and disappeared. I saw my brother and my family standing by each other, holding their hands out for me. The joy and happiness that I felt when I saw my family, made me go into tears. I jumped into their arms, smiling with tears rolling down my face. But their hugs grew tighter against my body. I couldn't move a single inch of body. When I looked down I noticed that I wasn't hugging my family...I walked into a trap! I looked around and saw that I was captured by The Soldiers. I was hanging from the ceiling in a cage. "Let me out of here, you assholes! If you don't so help me...I'LL EAT EVER LAST ONE OF YOU!! Better yet, I'll watch you guys die slowly." 

The Soldiers laughed at me and continued to do what they were doing. Soon after, about 15 minutes, the cage was lowered onto the floor. Once the cage opened, I quickly began to run for the door. My chose blew up in my face when I was electrocuted. "AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I heard nothing but the laughter of the Soldiers. After I was done being shocked to death, I was being hooked up to some type of machine. The wires were super long and thick. They strapped me to a chair and said, "Don't worry this will all be over soon. Once it's done, you'll...die." My eyes widen in fear, so I began to shed a few tears. "LET ME GO!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!! ACE!! HIKORU!! SOMEBODY, PLEASE!!" I began to try and loosen the straps around my wrists, so I could free myself. I looked over at one of the Soldiers, who was standing by the machine, flip the switch. I felt my body being pulled upward, as a shock of electricity flowed through my body. "W-what's going on...here?" The Chief walked over to me and said, "We finally got what we wanted, so we're going to harvest it. Your power is incredible. So we've decided to harness your power and create a doomsday device. Thanks to you...we can finally get what's ours." He gripped my cheeks and smiled. I snatched my face out of his hand. A few minutes later, I felt my heart slow down. "Am I actually going to die? I thought I would see the day that, I'll kill all the Soldiers with my family. I just want to see my family one more time. I thought that me and Ace would be together...forever." The room began to go dark and the last thing I remember was that the Chief smiled evilly at me. 

I woke up gasping for air around me. "THEY'RE COMING FOR ME!! I can't let them get to me!! Once they have me the whole world is at stake!" Ace cupped my cheeks in his hands and looked directly into my eyes. "What are you talking about, Kimiko? Who is "they" and what do you mean the whole world is at stake," Ace asked, trying to calm me down. I took a deep breath and explained to him what just happened. Moments later, he finally understood why I was freaking out. "Is there anyway you could stop that?" I looked at him and then looked away. I said, "There is only one way, but that means I would have to go back to my planet and destroy what they have. Once I leave I'm never coming back...that means I'll never see you again, Ace." I leaned into Ace. He slowly petted my head and kissed me my forehead. "I promise, that the Soldiers will never come and get you. They'll have to kill me first." When Ace said those words to me, I just could never stop thinking about Hikoru. They seemed to be bonding with one another, or linking souls. We stayed downstairs for awhile. Ace fell asleep, but I couldn't get a blink of sleep. I looked up at the ceiling and thought to myself,"The Soldiers are coming for me...I have that feeling."
