Sarah was waving her hands in front of my eyes but I was lost in my own world. A world that had no one except me and my demons swirling around me, disguised in past memories. Everything came back right at that moment, losing her, me going in depression, the therapy visits, getting engaged that too for a little time, everything!

If it wasn't for Sarah clicking her tongue, I would have never got out of my world.

"You are thinking about Adeel, right?" Sarah asked once she was sure I was out of my world.

"Why do you always have to bring up the past in your future?" Sarah asked in a slight irritated voice which I was quick to notice.

My mind always does that.

"Look, what happened to Adeel was an accident. It wasn't your fault he decided to have a race with his friends. It wasn't your fault that you were there to see all this with your own eyes. So stop blaming yourself for everything you didn't do Zara. This would have happened anyways. It was all written." Her voice was almost a whisper in the end.

It took me minutes to gather my mind around what Sarah said. Then I opened my mouth to speak,

"Give me some time to think about it." I was grateful my voice wasn't throaty, it came out smooth.

"Of course, take as much time as you want." Sarah replied, feeling contended with my reply and happily smiling as if I had answered in affirmative.

"Come on Zara there is nothing to fear about." Adeel said.

I was hesitant at first but reluctantly agreed and stepped inside the car. Zaman was chaperoning me today. He just smirked at me and turned around. To say that I was scared was an understatement. I was beyond scared. I had this feeling from morning that something's bad gonna happen today. I tried to persuade Adeel and Zaman both but they shrugged off my feelings by saying that I was just overreacting.

It was planned that everyone, that included my two cousins Rayyan and Salman, Adeel's cousins Yusuf and his wife and some of his friends, will meet at the decided road that was pitch black and surrounded by trees. It looked more like a road straight from a horror movie. Though I loved horror movie's, but that isn't a thing to discuss at the moment.

We reached the extremely black and weird road after, approximately, 15 minutes. I stepped outside the car and immediately a cool breeze surrounded me. This was really looking like a horror movie. I looked around and found that four bikes were standing against a tree. I wondered who brought this bikes.

"Come on! Let's start", someone behind me roared.

I turned around again and saw that everyone was on their respective bikes. Adeel's was a white coloured Arpilia RSA that I had seen many times since our engagement, when I had visited his house.

The race started and I stood still. Zaman was standing beside me cheering for Yusuf who was first in four of them. Little while later the bikes came into view again as they neared the end of the first lap. There were two more laps to go.

By the end of the second lap, my fear had subsided and I started to enjoy more. Adeel was now nearing the ending and others were nowhere to be seen. He looked at me while his motorbike was in full speed. He lost control over it and the bike smashed into the tree. I closed my eyes not wanting to see the effect of it. Zaman pulled me behind him, even he didn't want me to see it.
