I get a call from my dad I check the time its now 6:30 am. I pick the call. "Nathan. How are you feeling today?" Asked my dad. "I am feeling better now." I replied. "Will you go to school today? Do you want me to drop you?" He asked. I said I will opt for the bus I dont want to give him any more burdens to carry. He has enough of them.I get out of the bed do my regular routine like every human being and go to the bus stand for reaching school
I reach school and I am fortunate enough not to get bullied with the situations I am going through right now. Instead I am lucky enough to have actual friends ready to support me whenever I need them. I hope god doesn't take them away. They're my only support now. If they are gone I am afraid I will go with them.
The first four periods and lunch time were good but when fifth period began I suddenly had a migrane it was like someone hitting my head with Thor's hammer. It was so bad I had to be sent to the nurse's office.
I was thinking to stay here for a little while and then go back to my classes but god always has some different plans for you.
The nurse called dad and I was sent home solely because my fever had risen.
"Nathan. Why did you lie to me? Why did you go to school when you were not fine?" Dad asked in an intimidating tone. "I didn't lie dad. I swear I was perfectly fine till lunch. It was after lunch during fifth period when I fell sick again." I said which is what actually happened.
But you know I cant even blame dad for this. But I am scared that with all this going on dad might lose all hope and give up.
I can't let that happen. Dad is my role model. He always has been. He is so strong emotinally. Last year when my granddad died, everyone was literally so devastated and so emotionally unstable while dad was trying to comfort all of us while seeing his own father on his deathbed. A lot has been going on in our family for the past years. My granddad died, my uncle's kidneys had failed and now my mom is battling between life and death because of the accident.
I came home with dad changed my clothes, had my lunch and went to the hospital to check up on mom.
I go into mom's room and see the same sight I have been seeing for the past few days. She is unconscious and she is wearing the oxygen mask and she is only surviving because of life support.
Dad hasn't been home for the past few days because he has been staying the night in the hospital in case if something happened to mom. So I decided to stay here for the night, yes me and dad argued about this for a while but eventually he gave up and went home.
After dad went home. The nurse came in and she said " I have heard that when someone is in a coma. They don't move, talk or see but they can still hear you." We both smiled and the nurse went away.
Obviously after listening that I would talk to mom " Hey mom. Me and dad miss you a lot. Its really hard do to everything on our own without you. I know everything is really painful right now but trust me when you get better we will take you home far away from this pain. Mom I know you are hearing me. Please come back." I said while tears are falling down my eyes. And just like that I fall asleep.
