A/N: ok so California time zone is 3 hours earlier than Missouri.
***Sunday. September 25th 2011, 7:56am California time. ***
Kati’s POV:
“Kati. Kati, wake up babe. We’re here.” I hear Devin say as he shakes me awake. I groan in response. My eyes flutter open. My first sight is a handsome guy in front of me. Oh wait. That’s my boyfriend. I look at the time. It’s 10:56am Missouri time so must be around 8 California time. God. So early. Not good.
We move swiftly getting off the plane and to get our bags. Once we retrieve everything, we go out to the pick up area.
“Miss. Wence?” the mans deep voice startled me. I quickly turn around.
“Ummm yes?” I say a little scared of the large man.
“Right this way,” he says leading us to a… black stretch limo. Omg. This is awesome.
“We will be picking up your costar. Her name is Claire Marcel. She’s also 17. She’s from Texas.” I nod in agreement. A girl my age. Cool. She sounds very nice and really pretty.
Devin and I talk about what life in L.A. is going to be like. We soon pull up to another airport. The driver gets out of the car and gets the attention of a brunette girl. She’s about 3 inches shorter than me so she’s 5’7”ish, tan and really pretty. She hops into the back to where I am sitting. She sets her stuff down across from us.
“Hey! You must be the beautiful Kati Wence. Mrs. Helm told me about. It’s so nice to meet you. I’m Claire Marcel.” She says with a smile on her face. I love her enthusiasm!
“Hi! I’m Kati. It’s also very nice to meet you!” I say returning the smile.
“And btw. Love the accent!” She says. I giggle a little and then remember Devin is here.
“Oh Claire. This is my boyfriend, Devin!” I say as I introduce them.
“Hello Devin. Very nice to meet you” She says as they exchange friendly smiles. She was so cheeky and perky. I can tell we are going to be fast friends.
We soon arrived at the studio. They man helped us out at got all of our suitcases. Another man took them and brought them into the lobby area.
“Hi girls! Welcome to the business! We are so happy that you are now with us. Mrs. Helm will be with you in a minute. Please take a seat.” The lady at the front desk instructed us.
We talked for about 15 minutes. I learned a lot about Claire. She also just graduated, from high school and wanted to be a teacher. She lives with her mom dad and younger sister. Her name is Vanessa. She’s Zach’s age. Aka: 13. We have so much in common. I feel like we’re clones.
“Girls! Hello hello hello! Thank you so much for coming back down here. It’s so nice to see you guys. I’ve seen you already have met. That’s fantastic. Oh and um Kati, who is this lovely young man?” Mrs. Helm came out of thin air. Kind of scared me but she was so welcoming.
“Yes. This is my boyfriend, Devin Nicoles.” I say introducing her to him.
“Oh yes of course. Well, Mr. Nicoles, my driver, Steve, will take you to the apartment with a crew to help you set up everything. Does that sound good?”
“Yes. Thank you.” Devin replies with a warm smile. He kisses my cheek before he leaves.
Mrs. Helm brought us down a hallway to a set. “This is the set of Sam and Cat. I would say this is going to be your ‘second home’. So take your time and look around. When you are finished, please go through that door, down the hallway. It’s the seventh door on the left. We need to fill out some paper work and then you guys can go to your new apartments!” Mrs. Helm’s point to the door then walks off.
