She sighed deeply as she pushed open the small, wooden door of the coffee shop with her hands which were buried beneath her grey, oversized sweater.

In one hand was her diary and the other was her phone.

She exhaled as she felt the sudden warm rush of air hit her flustered, pink face and then walked up to the counter.

She had come here almost everyday for the past three years.

Always ordering the same thing.

A blue berry muffin and a medium caramel latte.

They had always prepared for her entrance each morning. Making sure to leave aside her order before she even came in.

But today was different.

Instead of her usual waitress Linda, greeting her as she walked in at 9:05 on the dot.

A tall, muscular boy was stood at the counter, dressed in uniform.

She had never seen him before, it must of been his first day considering she was here every morning.

He had dark hair and chocolate brown hazel eyes. His frame was very defined and he stood at least at least 5'10. Way much taller than her 5'5 height.

She was always smaller than most people she came across, especially boys. Everyone seemed to grow, but even with a pair of heels she still was the shortest among a group.

He noticed her tiny frame walk up to the counter and he instantly showed a wide, dimpled smile. He checked the time and greeted her.

"So I'm guessing you are Riley, considering its exactly 9:05." He asked her as he reached towards the muffin and hot drink beside him.

"Yeah that's me." Riley replied as she furrowed her brow and looked to the floor.

How did he know about her already?

"James, I'm James, Linda told me about you."
He responded as he handed her the muffin and latte and once again smiled at her as she handed the exact change.

She returned an equally as wide grin and walked down to her usual seat, right at the corner where nobody bothered her.

Everyone knew who she was by now, she was always there. No one bothered her though and no one seemed to acknowledge her.

She just sat there, scribbling in her notebook and sipping on her coffee.

Her mind drifted off to the boy behind the counter, or James as she knows him as now.

She would be lying if she didn't take a sudden interest in him.

He was the definition of hot.

"But he probably had a girlfriend" She thought to herself as she shook her head and focused back on to the drawing in her notebook.

She had been working on some lyrics for a original song she had been working on.

In private she sang, a lot.
