I have always believed
that there is more to this world
than that black mark
of unhappiness.
I have always believed
that time is better left unbroken,
and that moments of pure
wonder and beauty
should not be disturbed
by the cruel, unspoken
darkness of reality.
I have always believed
that I am meant for something
great and open and unlimited,
despite what I have been told
and made to understand.
This is something different,
beyond the facets
of the human mind,
and far beyond what any
one person could ever believe.
I can feel this newness
being crushed
within the confines of my soul.
