A Random Steven Universe Lapidot Story I Guess...

Chapter 1

Peridot's P.O.V.

Its been many weeks since I joined the crystal gems and helped create a drill to destroy the cluster. We still yet haven't used it to destroy the cluster, which both confuses me and makes me mad because we built the drill to destroy the cluster! Not let sit it there and let the cluster grow! These crystal gems are what the humans call 'annoying'... The crystal gems left not to long ago for a mission, they seemed excited and happy, but they left Steven here? I wonder why? They usually take him, they trust me now... Right? Either they don't or this mission is very dangerous. 

3rd Person P.O.V.

Steven walked over to Peridot and poked her arm. "Hey Peridot,  you okay?" He asked and Peridot turned to face him, "Huh? Oh, yes... I'm fine, just... Curious" she mumbled .

"Why?" He asked and sat on the couch, patting the seat next to him. Peridot sat next to him and sighed, "Do you think the gems trust me? Especially after my little move the other day?" She asked, looking down at her feet, guilty. "The gems are forgiving, I'm sure they trust you, why would you think that?" He asked another question and peridot looked at him, "because they left you with me and I feel like they don't trust me by leaving you here to watch me..." She stated and looked away again.

"Oh, they left me here because they went to go defeat Malachite, they were too worried that I can get hurt and decided to leave me with you so you can watch me." He said reassuringly and patted Peridot's back,  jumping off the couch and walked over to the fridge, leaving a happy peridot. 'So they do trust me... Wait.... Malachite?' She thought.

"Wait Steven... Who is Malachite??" She asked strangely confused and jumped off the couch and stood behind Steven. "Oh yeah! You don't know about Malachite do you? Well, before we found you again, lapis and jasper fused,  I think lapis took the fusion to the bottom of the ocean to protect me, and she has been fused ever since." He said and took out a jar of mayonnaise, ham, and cheese to make a sandwich. "Wait... Is she okay??" Peridot asked and held onto his arm.

"Who?" He asked and got two slices of bread. "Lapis." She grumbled, getting impatient.

"Oh, I have no idea, the last time I saw her was in my dream, she seemed like she was struggling... And jasper got control of the fusion I think... I'm not sure" he said and made his sandwich in a worried way. Peridot let go and backed away from Steven. "Uhh... Peridot?" He looked at Peridot with a worried look. "I have to make something for her when she comes back..." She whispered under her breath and dashed toward the door on all fours, heading to the barn. Steven watched her and shrugged, biting into his sandwich.

At The Barn

Peridot looked around for something to give her, Steven taught her about presents and how to wrap them and everything, all she needed to do was find something to give her. She spotted her tape recorder and gasped, "I think she will love this!" She exclaimed and looked for stuff to wrap the present. She found white wrapping paper and a blue ribbon while digging through the many piled up boxes in the barn. She started excitedly wrapping the tape recorder but the first time she did it, it was a mess. Maybe she was too excited and fast... She took the mess apart and calmed down, slowly wrapping the tape recorder in a neat manner. Voila! A nicely wrapped present, ready to give to lapis. She got up and headed back to the temple, taking her time to walk over to the house. 

Back At The Temple

Peridot finally got to the temple and walked in. The gems warped in at the same time as Peridot walked into the temple. Peridot gasped and his the present behind her back, blushing lightly. She looked to see if lapis was with them. Lapis walked out from behind the gems and Steven ran over to her. "LAAAAAPIIIIIISSS!!!!" He exclaimed as her hugged her tight. Lapis raised her eye brows in surprise and patted his back, not really knowing what he was doing. 

Peridot stood there, slightly embarrassed of her height. Lapis darted her eyes at Peridot, slightly glaring at her. Peridot shrunk in the spot she was standing in and slowly walked backwards towards the door.

Steven let go and looked at Garnet, "Where is Jasper?" He asked.

"Jasper was bubbled-" Garnet said and adjusted her glasses. "We had to poof Jasper because we aren't sure if we can trust her with being free and roaming on earth, for all we know she can turn on us!" Pearl budded in.
