Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
So steady, so normal.
Such a common rhythm, humans disregard.
But I can't.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Seconds pass, minutes blur.
The ways of the universe, you accepted.
But I don't.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Hours fade, days disappear.
Yesterday has gone, you expect tomorrow.
But I won't.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
My life's slipping away.
The way clocks work, it's so regular, so sane.
But I'm not.
