I recall the dread of sadness,
The flow of dark tears,
The anger that followed.
When reality is no dream to me,
The inevitability of sorrow
That soaked my cheeks.
Like rain, it poured. And I truly
Thought I'd never see the sun.
I recall the joy of happiness
The glow of sweet tears,
The pleasure that trailed
When dreams become reality
The rarity of such delight! Oh
The warmth of coloured cheeks
Like the sun, it spread. And I truly
Thought I'd not see rain and run.
I recalled this all too well, but woe
Did follow. And rage thundered too.
How I prayed for salvation, every second
Of every minute. Then it came.
The glow of the sun,
Never touched me,
Nor did the rain.
Love and hate became one
And now I have neither
Sun nor rain, now I see
Nothing but clouds.15/08/16
