Part IV

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Phantasy couldn't understand why Miya would do that to Devin and Phantasy herself by shoving them into the hole. She couldn't even understand her sole purpose.

By herself she had woken up lying on a collapsed mountain of fallen leaves in the coldness of night that reflects the forbidding and uninviting persona of darkness in the surrounding atmosphere. A small speck of the ray of light shines lowly at the lonely girl as she touches the dead leaves that are scattered around her. Phantasy was lost in thought for a moment; whether she was upset or not, she was able to stand up calmly, and glanced around the unknown cave filled with life that she is in. Passing through the roots that nearly blocked her way, the girl managed to leave through the only exit to the outside world.

Gazing at the altered world that she is in and seeing what surprises her right eye, the surrounding trees looked oddly familiar to her, especially the mild mist whom Phantasy is breathing in. However, the scenery that she is seeing is queer to the one she saw in her dream. The black trees had blue leaves sticking out of its branches, and thayerianum flowers are spread around, carrying indulgence in its appearance. Overwhelmed by its beauty and nature, Phantasy plucked up a few of them and tugged it in her right pigtail. Realizing the need to find Devin, she explored around the mysterious forest, in search of him.

Later on, Phantasy found a straight path and followed it. After a couple of minutes, the fear of getting lost slowly tickles her like a spider. However, at the same time, she gazed up and spotted an animal sticking out of a bush nearby. Phantasy reached over there and paused to stare straight at it. She after that lifts her hands and pull it up. She looked a bit closer.

It's an unrealistic, cartoon-looking, distorted, dead corpse of an infant goat.

Phantasy stood there, holding its thin right leg for about ten seconds, threw the goat and left like it was nothing. She went all the way to a bridge and stopped; she then looked at the river stream and noticed how the color was magenta and not blue, as if she was in an entirely different world. Phantasy looked up at the sky, and discovered floating islands close to the clouds. A small, blue petal landed softly on her nose and sneezed it away after feeling it. Shortly after that, she sat down and recalled the moment about Miya. She sniffled, feeling scared about having to stay forever trapped in the unknown world.

"Sorry if I bother you for the moment, would you mind if I come over there?"

Surprised, Phantasy jumped and looked at the person standing near the bridge. A tall, young, male elf with fern colored hair and fur clothing. Barefooted, he made a worried expression. Phantasy took a step back, hence never seeing an elf before.

"Oh," The elf said, "you do mind. Sorry about my appearance earlier, I would like to explain that to you if you allowed me to come over to where you are."

"Erm . . . I don't really mind."

"Ah, thank you." He walked to where Phantasy was and introduces himself, "My name is Edmond. I am a travelling elf in case if you haven't yet noticed my long and pointy ears. Anyway, what happened to your face?"

"Oh this?" Phantasy touches her bruise, "I've been hit by the rocks by the mean-butts."

"The mean-whats?"

"The bullies." Phantasy said.

"What is your name child?" Edmond asked.

"Phantasy."

"Phantasy, that's a really unique and a rare name for a-" Edmond paused for a moment. Phantasy stood there confused, watching him as he said, "Let's go someplace else where there won't be anybody in presence. I wanted to ask you something very important for your safety. Would you mind if I hold your hand?"
