Part III

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The school bell echoes as it rings on a Wednesday morning of November 22, 988. The children played around outside, talking with their friends as the teachers began to take role for the upcoming field trip. The weather was nice and breezy, dead colorful leaves scattered around the yellowish-brown grass like flowers decaying. Vyola sat on the old wooden bench finishing up her journal entry. Her black hair was tied back as a pony tail and is wearing her long grey shirt and pants and a pair of dark shoes. After closing the book, she hums to the sky a memorable poem before jumping out of the bench and at a slow pace, walks towards to the bus after hearing the call.

"Okay students, line up! We're going to take role." said one of the caretakers standing next to the entrance of the bus with a few others. The children cheerfully raced to aim to be the front of the line so that they could enter the bus first. Vyola looked behind with a worried expression as she waits in a line to enter the bus, wondering where Phantasy and Devin was. Mrs. Arias, a teacher for the the children, took role with a board as one at a time, they entered the bus.

"Jonathan, Leon, Nancy, Liz, Ken . . ."

A minute later the bus slowly started to become crowded. The birds flocked over the azure blue skies as the temperature grows warmer.

"Vyola, Hoa, Timmy, Kim . . . That's all of them, but where's Devin and Phantasy?"

"Probably too frightened and nervous to come after messing them around and purloining their toys yesterday." One of the boys in the back said as he and his friends chuckled. "They're just fun to toy with ha-ha."

Vyola looks at them as she held her journal tightly with an annoyed expression. The adults talked softly to each other in a discussion. When they are about to start hunting for them, Phantasy finally showed up with Devin as they walked out of the woods and noticed that the bus was about leave. The rushed towards to the bus and got on. When they sat down next to Vyola, she said, "You're late again."

"Heh-heh sorry, guess I can't beat my habit of getting late haha."

"What's with Devin?" Vyola asked, worried about him.

"About him that's. . . indescribable."

"Phantasy,"

"Oh no it's-"

Ms. Dordle, a thick, snobby, over-reactive woman with short, brown and curly hair with earrings, who takes everything seriously and hates kids and her job, looks at them with disappointment and shouts, "Where had you been all this time!"

They both remained silent, Devin started to sulk a bit as she bashes at them verbally for being late, spit landing on his left cheek, "You both should know what could've happen if this small incident could've lead towards to us if either one of you gets lost. When we get to our destination, I'll make you two pluck weeds for the whole entire time at the picnic section!"

After the yelling, Ms. Dordle walked out of the bus just to go to the one at the very front. There are two buses for the trip. The first bus is for the faculty members that had either agreed to attend the field trip or has to attend in the field trip. The second bus is for the orphans and/or students at a young age to participate the field trip once a year from donations sponsored by the P.W.C. (People Who Cared) to multiple villages or schools all over the district. Devin was trying to wipe off the spit while Phantasy shrugged and said, "Typical Ms. Dordle heh-heh."

"Umm. . . Phantasy?"

"Huh? Ah, Mrs. Arias!"

"How's morning?" She asked as the bus started to move.
