So sorry for the really long wait. I don't go on this account often. Anyways, I made it extra long for you who are still reading this. Which I highly doubt you are.

Chapter 2
Choosing Day

Unknown POV

Two years. That how long I haven't seen her. I'm sitting here, remembering every little detail about her. Her tan skin, light brown hair, dark blue eyes like mine, her long, thin fingers, soft skin and the smell of lavender soap.

Two years. That was how long ago I left her in that hell hole I used to call home. 'I hope she's doing fine.' I thought to myself.

Today is the Choosing Ceremony. I wonder what faction she'll choose. Whichever she chooses, I hope she's happy. The selfish part of me wants her to choose Dauntless, so I can see her again. Though if she does choose Dauntless, I know she will get hurt. Everyone does.

The Dauntless and the transfers are going to be here soon so I make my way towards the net. I wait on the platform with Lauren while other Dauntless members talk while waiting for the first jumper.

Abigail's POV

The day passed fast. I stayed up in my room all day avoiding Marcus, the man I call my father.

"Abigail come down here!" He yells up.

I quickly walk down the stairs to the living room, where he is seated on his armchair.

"Yes, sir?" I question.

"It is almost time to go to the Hub. I assume you will make the right choice."

"Yes, sir." I know he means for me to choose Abnegation. Sorry 'Dad' but, that is out of the question.

"Go get your jacket. We're leaving." Obeying him I put my gray slacks and jacket on. I wait in the car while he puts his shoes on. Our family is one of the rare families that own a car in Abnegation. He gets in; we don't talk the whole ride there.

This year, Marcus is the person doing the speech. I wait in line while he gives a boring speech about the history of the city of Chicago and a history of each faction.

Finally he starts calling out the names. Each second passes, I get more nervous. Even though I know which faction I will choose.

After a while the E's start being named.

"Abigail Eaton." Marcus' voice boomed.

I walk up to him, take the knife he was offering and sliced open the side of my palm. Looking at him in the eyes, I let my blood drop into the Dauntless coals. My blood sizzled indicating that I was now Dauntless. After I pass initiation of course. I strutted to the Dauntless section of the massive hall, feeling Marcus' gaze follow me. 'Good. I made him speechless.' I thought.

Waiting for the ceremony to finish I introduced myself to the caramel-skinned girl in Candor black and white.

"Hi. I'm Abigail, though I prefer to be called Aby." I whispered to her as quietly as possible, so not to bother anyone.

"Christina. You can call me Chris. Whatever floats your boat." She turned to me, not bothering to keep her voice down. She stretched out her hand for me to shake. Which, by the way, was very uncomfortable.

"Nice to meet you." I muttered embarrassed about my horrible hand shake. I stopped talking when I heard a familiar name. It was Caleb Prior's turn to choose the faction that he will be in, for the rest of his life.
