Chapter 3: A Tough Decision

"Scourge....." She spoke in a low and soft voice. Trying to hold back the tears in her eyes as she says...

"Scourge, it's..."

"It's a deal..." She decided while her tears stream down her eyes.

"Good girl." Scourge chuckled as he cupped Amy's chin while she sobbed.

"Mephiles, change of plans. Don't kill them just yet..." Scourge commanded.

"What?! I thought we had a deal!!!" The pink hedgehog squirmed as one of the robots held her back.

"Yes, we had a deal. But didn't you remember? I only said LESS HARM but I didn't say I am not allowed to terminate people." The green traitor said commanding the robot to lock Rose in a room.

"Yeah, that's right! You can't beat me!!!" Knuckles reassured smashing the robots who gets near him.

"Pathetic fighting skills for someone like you." I voice whispered to the echidna.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" Knuckles said in a fighting stance. Feeling cold air past through his fur.

The red echidna felt like he was being controlled by the life form who was speaking to him. He started to float all of a sudden realizing that this person was putting him inside a cell. Being inert to move an inch, he was successfully transferred to the cell without a sweat.

"Telekinesis? Who has telekinesis again???" The echidna wondered.

Mephiles left after reassuring that their prisoner won't be escaping again. He looked after the yellow fox who's trying to rescue the fellow badger.

"Thanks for saving me from those 'aliens'. And-Tails!!! Why am I floating!!!???" The badger reacted at the sudden change of feeling. She was incapable of moving any part of her body.

Same situation goes with the genius fox but unlike Knuckles, he knew who the claimer of the power is, Silver the Hedgehog. A hedgehog who lives in the future and goes back in the past to undo any effects caused by the present.

"Silver?!" Tails thought while he was put unconsciously in a cell, so did the badger.

Once they were secured in their own cells, the mysterious creature that was unseen fleeted away before anyone can figure out who he really is.

"It's witty to see them wander who was the person who put them back into their rightful places. Hmm... Scourge, our objectives are completed. Pursue to do our next one." The dark shadow left the three prisoners dazed.

"Scourge!!! Scourge!!! Please!!!" Amy continued hitting the door to get the green antagonist's attention. After a few seconds, she heard a footstep getting louder and it did not take long before someone opened the door.

"If you want to see day light again, make sure you don't p**s me off. I won't let some creature get in my way while my plans are progressive, I have to make sure it is complete." Scourge hissed, closing the door behind him. "It's either two choices; tone down your noise or get tied in the bed for the rest of the night." Scourge snickered with a face wanting to have fun.

"Is this how you treat your future queen? Forcing her to do things she does not even like? Tell me, is this the right manner to treat a lady?" Amy asked, attempting to distract the emerald hedgehog from his real plan.

"Hmm... You're right my queen. Just promise me you'll shut your screwing mouth or else I won't hold back again, okay? You don't want to loose something in a young age do you? You aren't even in the corresponding age yet." Scourge requested, rubbing the pink hedgehog's chin almost close to her face in millimeters, his eyes half-closed and had a smirk painted in his muzzle.

"Sir, we have new guests arriving. It's the Freedom Fighters." A robot knocked, reporting bad news. "It seems that they're numerous members. Including the Princess."

"Very well then. Make sure to be hospitable to them. Excuse me, pinky but daddy has to do something. Make sure to sleep early." Scourge stood from his seat and went outside, locking the door once again.

The poor heroine hold back her tears and started finding a way to escape rather than making a noise. She tried to find any opening but she knew that Scourge would not put her here if he knew that she has the capability to escape. But hopes just went higher when she found a weak spot in the wall and she can simply here a strange sound beneath the surface. Thinking isn't the best time for now so with no regrets, she started hitting the wall while the enemy was distracted with the new visitors.

"One last kick and it'll-" All of a sudden, the wall collapsed and outside the surface was the room of her real lover, trembling in pain. All burned an bruised up from the ambush and fight.

She ran towards the blue hero shivering from the cold air. "Sonic!!! Oh, dear! Are you okay?" She spoke receiving a cough. Tear drops manage to stream down her face as she see her blue lover smile lightly on her. She hugged him tight and said, "I'm so sorry Sonic! I promise I won't leave you again!"

"How the f*** did you escape? If you want to see your blue hero die then fine, I'll give you what you want." Scourge's voice echoed.

"We made a deal!!! You won't hurt Sonic!!!" Amy yelled looking around, preparing to what will happen.

"I'm sorry Rose but I think you broke that already. Deal's off. It's either you do what I want by force or die." All of a sudden, the surroundings started changing. As she felt everything completely froze.

An unknown figure stood in front of her dragging her and the blue hedgehog. The figure warped them from room to room. "Rose, start running. Your precious partner is quite heavy." The figure spoke with a commanding voice. Rose wasn't able to remember the person since it was wearing a red cape. And when the hood came off, it was a person familiar to her recent activities.

"Shadow?!" Amy said in surprise.

"It's not long before he can try to chase us. Don't let me interrupt your speed. Go on." He commanded with a low voice, looking ahead to his path.
