When we were nearing the yogurt place that we usually stopped by, we saw a tall man placing a "For Sale" sign right out front. This made Amethyst and I all fired up, so without even parking, I stopped the car and Amethyst and I raced toward the man who now appeared a lot taller than he looked from a distance.

"Hey! What's going on?" Amethyst called almost yelling.

"Well, I'm only doing my job miss, why don't you go ask the owner of the shop?" The tall man responded without even looking up.

With that said, Amethyst and I once again raced, this time going into the shop. We searched the whole store and could not find Theodore. That is until his cat Tom made a sound that appeared as though someone was trying to shut him up. We followed Tom's voice and it led us to where Theodore was. He was sitting on his office chair with Tom on his lap while he gripped the armrest with his left hand.

As we made our way through the doorway, Theodore looked up at us and said, "Oh hey guys, what's up?" with a mysterious expression on his face.

"Uh, what do you mean what's up? What's going on? Why are you selling this place?" Amethyst asked with now a much calmer tone.

"Uh well, I just wanted to take a break from the business world," he replied. But, deep down I knew he had won some type of game that gave him a lot of money; he is really good at those types of games. For all we know, he probably already have bought a mansion with that money and a better business.

"Are you sure nothing's wrong?" Amethyst asked one more time, and I interrupted and said, "I'm sure he'll be fine Amy, he won the lottery."

After saying what I just said, I realized how dumb it was of me. Theodore gasped and is now staring at me wide-eyed looking very surprised with his mouth dropped open almost reaching his toes.

"How- did- you- know?" he said very slowly and I suspected that he might have suspected something.

"Just a wild guess," I nervously answered.

"Nobody else knows except me, my brother, and my mom how could you have-" I knew where this was going, so I quickly grabbed Amethyst's hand and started pulling her out without letting him finish his sentence.

"What are you-?" Amethyst looks at me confused.

"Just follow my lead," I told her, and she did.

We made our way back to my car and sat in silence. After about thirty seconds of nothingness, I started the engine and started to drive slowly. As I made a left turn to leave the place, I glanced at my side mirror and saw Theodore staring at me, still wide-eyed.
