The Serpent Alchemist ( on hiatus )

Chapter 5

Apparently these state alchemists were militants , interesting maybe I could study with them and join up . I needed some more material though . I walked back down the street toward the massive building Ed and Al were heading toward this morning .

I strode up the tall stone stairs and straitened my black pencil skirt before opening the doors. I walked up to the front desk and was directed up to Colonel Mustangs office . Knocking I entered and came face to face with the third man from the hospital " hi , I thought it was you when the chick at the front desk said your name . He looked surprised to see me again , " are you ok miss ? " I laughed " yeah I came to ask you about a job how does one go about becoming a state alchemist ?"

I skipped out of the big white building , a list of reference books to study for the state alchemist test I was going to have to take .

I giggled to myself at the thought of all the new books I was going to be reading with a slight frown I stopped in the middle of the road . I didn't exactly have anywhere to stay now .

I was smacking my head against a nearby wall when I heard my name being called .

" hey ! Tanith what are you doing that for ?"

It was Alphonse and Edward , I waved slightly and my shoulders sagged ." I just realised I don't have a place to stay at the moment that's all " I went back to whacking my head to try think of a place to stay .

" you can come with us if you want , we have an apartment near your old place "
I turned to face them blood from my forehead running down my face " no I couldn't , I don't want you guys to feel obliged to help me or anything !" .

" it's really no trouble " I nodded  " oh , thanks then !" I hugged Al the Ed in a whirlwind before skipping off down the street toward their apartment .

I didn't see Ed's face go bright red . And I didn't see Al's smirk either .
