Anna's POV:

As soon as we arrived back at my house, Daniel and I were all over each other. I just couldn't help myself, now that I knew he liked me too. I quickly remembered that my family was most likely home by then, so I broke away from his embrace and skipped up the stairs. I turned around at the top and motioned with my pointer finger for him to follow. He smiled seductively and ran after me, spinning me around in his arms. He carried me all the way into my bed, where he gently laid me down. I closed my eyes as he almost jumped on top of me. I let a girlish giggle escape my lips and covered my mouth, my face turning red.

"You are so adorable when you do that" he said, as he straddled me. He put his face close to mine and his lips were dangerously close to mine, making it hard to breathe. I gazed into his eyes and he winked at me, making me smile even wider, if that was even possible. He kissed my lips ever so gently and sent a shiver that rippled through my whole body. He must have noticed because he chuckled under his breath. I was just about to kiss him, when he beat me to it. I ran my hands along his spine and watched in satisfaction as he arched his back.

"Oh yeah? Two can play at this game". He suddenly flipped me over so he was on the bottom and gently pulled my lips down to meet his. I had just about forgotten what he'd said, when he put his hand under my shirt and slowly ran his fingernail along the contours of my spine. I shivered in delight and moaned slightly. I could feel his smile against my lips as he got his payback.

This continued until we heard the door slam, half an hour later. He quickly jumped off of my bed and made a beeline for his room. He paused at the door and turned around with an apologetic look on his face. Then he winked, which made me laugh. As soon as he was out of my room, I turned over onto my stomach and giggled in sheer delight. My life had finally started going uphill.

At dinner my mother asked me how my day was.

"It was good. I just laid around all day". Technically I hadn't been lying to her. I had laid around all day..I just failed to mention a few..minor..details. I looked up at Daniel as I felt his foot rub against mine. It was so hard to suppress the urge to grin at him. Every time I looked at him the butterflies went wild in my stomach. We played footsie throughout supper and I kept my eyes glued to him the entire time. I was unaware that almost everyone had left until someone cleared their throat. I ripped my eyes away from his to see Kyle staring intently at us with an eyebrow raised. He abruptly stood up and walked away.

"What was that about?" Daniel asked me.

"I have no idea. I guess I'll find out later if it's something important". I shrugged as I raised from my chair to leave.

"Yes. I'm sure it's nothing". Daniel pondered. The way he said it made me nervous. Was it really nothing?
