A Crush?

We made it to 1st period at the last minute because people in the hallway kept trying too strike up a conversation with because if you haven’t notice we are pretty popular. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t and than I could quit cheer and focus on my grades and my gaming channel on YouTube which just hit 1 million subscribers which I think is hilarious considering I have never shown my face on my own channel. I have a bunch of friends that I know through YouTube. Its just they have never seen my face sooo you could say they only know me by name but, hey I am ok with that. Anyways the point of this is that being is not what its cracked up to be. "KAT!" Daniela screamed in my ear I yanked my head up and banged it against hers. “Ouch that’s got to hurt" we hear one of the football players say. I think his name is Harold or Harry or something like that. Daniela giggled and blushed and turned around. I just rolled my eyes and told him to screw a tree. He chuckled and turned back around and started to chat with his buddies. Dakota kept staring at me and it started to really piss me off, so I do what any other logical person would do...I snapped my head towards him and whispered, "Take a picture it will last longer".

He just turned and focuses his attention to the teacher who entered around 20 minutes ago with a tint of pink in his cheeks for getting caught (him not the teacher). 

After 1st period Hannah and I went to my locker so I could grab my stuff. While we were walking and talking I bumped in to somebody and dropped to the floor. I look up to see Chris Palmer...AKA the nerd of the school he turned scarlet red of embarrassment and started to pick up his books. I help collect them and hand them over to him. He grabs them while stuttering out "s-sorry", I reply back with an 'its okay' and give him a small smile and a wave. "I am Kat, what’s your name?" 

"Chr-ris" he stammers again while looking down. "Well it is amazing to meet you Chris we should talk some more but I don’t think that would be nice for the first day...sooooo talk to you later" I happily reply. He smiles and nods with agreement. I start to walk away when I feel something poke my cheek and look down a little to see Hannah watching me with amusement in her big green eyes. "What?" I ask.

"You know being anti-social, that was pretty social...does Kat Parker have a tiny school girl crush on the nerd of the school?"

I blush and look anywhere but her. She slaps her hand against my arm and yells out to the whole flipping world "OH MY GOD, KAT PARKER HAS A CRUSH ON-" I slap my hand over her mouth before she says anymore and look around to see Alex and his friend Mason coming forth to us with a curious glint in their eyes. As they start to approach us Hannah try’s to stop giggling and jumping around everywhere.

"Did I just hear what I think I just heard?" Alex says with an curious yet amused sparkle in his brown eyes.

"YES!!!! KAT LIKES SOMEONE FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!" Hannah practically screams.

"Well are you going to tell me..." Alex trails off looking at Hannah expectantly.

"Guess” Hannah says while looking at me confused because I haven’t said a word this whole conversation. Truth was I was thinking about how I might actually like a guy, I haven’t done something like this in awhile, "Might as well" I say. Alex starts giving off random names, some I haven’t even heard of before. 

"Mike"

"No"

"Dan"

"No"

"Matt"

"No"

"Zack'

"No"

"Me"

"You wish"

He mutters something but I couldn't pick up on what he whispered after I said that.

Oh well. " We have to get going but you can keep guessing later ok...ok bye" and with me stating that Hannah and I leave.

Alex's POV


"Dude, do you think she actually likes someone that’s not you?" Mason asks me. Okay you caught me I have had a thing for Kat since we met in the 8th grade and I will make her my girlfriend by the end of senior year. Pretty much everybody in our little group knows except for Kat and Jodi. Why not tell Jodi you ask, well Jodi would tell her being her best friend since forever. I want Kat to go out with me because she likes me not because I like her. But since she likes someone else I am just going to have to try harder. To say I am a little jealous is maybe an understatement. Oh well I will get her though just you wait. "I don’t know but I rather not believe it, come on we don't want to be late for class."
